It's the usual destructive maverick genius trait, if Ronnie had applied himself he would already have more World titles than Hendry. Jimmy White was the same. 'Should' have won more. He goes through massive spells (particularly at the beginning of sessions) where he misses a lot of balls. If players kept themselves together they could open a comfortable lead in that time.
