IainB 599
This gentleman was one of the greatest full backs ever to don a Rangers shirt. He is the epitome of the Rangers players from the Bill Struth era, skilled, disciplined and a total gentleman and a great ambassador for Rangers all his life, Today he is not doing to well in a Nursing Home in London Ontario, his beautiful wife Jean is in the same place, I don't know if you believe in prayer are religious or not, (I am more spiritual than religious BUT do believe in prayer) So no matter what offer up a wee prayer for this fine gentleman and his wife at some point today. WATP Cheers

Ozblue 4,331
Sammy has just turned 91 years and was a great Ranger who had a great career lasting 10 years at Ibrox. I wish him well.
harlands plater 16,974
My old man saw some true Rangers legends in his time, and when I asked him not long before he died who had been his all-time favourite, without hesitation he said "Sammy Cox". Best wishes to a great Ranger.

WeeJacksonRFC 647
That is a shame. I played in the 2007 Indoor Soccer Sammy Cox (Football) Tournament hosted by fellow Rangers Supporters Club in London Ontario I still have the trophy our club won. Has Sammy Cox's name on it. Sad to hear I am about 45 minutes away from London.Wishing him all the best.

Bobby Hume 13,016
In the same era as Sammy Cox, I was told of Woodburn, Young, Shaw, Brown and others I forget, McColl just came to mind, all great players I was well informed. Sammy I hope you get better soon, best wishes to a great Ranger.
pensionerbear 99
I watched the Iron Curtain as a boy and young man. Brown, Young and Shaw, McColl, Woodburn and Cox. Great days for defending. Cox played left half with us and left back for Scotland. Tom Finney said he was the best defender he played against. If you look at that defence, how many were manager of Scotland? Get well soon Sammy, wherever Tully is, he will remember you.
