Inigo 32,524
The coloured seats always remind me of better times. I love them.As does the old main stand, with the roof, standing and wooden seats.

OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Interesting shots of the various stages with a couple of glimpses of the old Centenary Stand, which inspired me to do a google search which came up with this stuff.http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=275022

B1872 20,441
Can someone explain why we can't fill in the corner with seats between the Copland and Bill Struth main stand?

B1872 20,441
Emergency access?Surely not as other stadiums have their corners filled
Inigo 32,524
Can someone explain why we can't fill in the corner with seats between the Copland and Bill Struth main stand? The angles and sizes are all wrong. The Main Stand extends well beyond the start of the Copeland and the heights of the stands are at different levels.

ayesteady 78
Great set of photos and have saved them on my PC. Liked the one with the MK1 Ford Escort (Just hope the guy who owned it didn't suffer the problems I did with mine). If memory serves we well Raith Rovers bought a load of the old multi coloured seats when they were changed out for blue ones. These photos showcase the beginning of what was to become and still is one the best football stadiums in the world.
Inigo 32,524
It's actually because we need space for emergency vehicles etc to come in.You could feasibly fill the corners and leave one tunnel to allow access, as per Hampden. However, regardless of access the shape of the stadium isn't really compatible as I described.
WilliamFyfe 1,438
Pretty cool. I hope they fill the corners soon.
topgoalie 637
There always seemed to be some kind of development going on in these days.JCB's and parts of the stadium demolished around the shite football on the park in the early 80's. was the norm.At least these days the stadiums intact.lol. eejay the dj 31,964
Quality building ,quality workmanship .Even in these photos .It's clearly an impressive stand .Was at Camp Nou stadium and even with all their millions ,our grounds stands up there with it .When my Spanish friend was over .Could only stand in amazement .And that was from a Madrid supporter . It is mate .If we never had such a corrupt bunch of fuckers at the SFA .Our stadium would easily have been used for euro finals in 90s and onwards .Maybe not champions league but if Man City can get a Uefa final ,then there is your example
cdb1690 24
Would be good to remove the big screens and make it join around though and put a TV on the front of the two end stands above the fans.
