berkshirebear 2,771
I don't understand why we don't play Wallace in front of Smith at left back. We are crying out for more pace and width and yet we stick with the same tired gameplan, that constantly achieves nothing!
tannerall 25,935
Wallace is great as an attacking overlapping full back, and in a decent team where he could trust the centre backs to cover and give him an easy first ball to run with, and a midfield to make space and give him an easy pass out would run amok down the wing. Has the pace to get down the middle from midfield too if he won the ball(and we need a good midfield ball winner who can hold his own, good call if we could get a good full back in behind)
KingKirk 25,595
Wallace is on the slide big time. Don't know if its cause the standard he is playing with but he's been piss for 6months now.. Also he is our best player but his defensive game isn't very good..
truebluejb85 2
Wallace has lost so much pace. Watching him trying to get back after attacking, looked like he was towing a caravan!
tom1780 1,216
Feel for him, he made a big choice and sadly it's not working out for him just now. Give him the captain armband and watch him regain some form

Also he is our best player but his defensive game isn't very good..Something wrong with his attitude or what is expected of him ? Not the sort to have attitude problem as he is a strong athletic player, the kind who can play in most positions, and holds the ball well going forward. It's a real puzzle what has gone wrong there. Maybe he thinks staying was the wrong decision ? (And I would not blame him, bloody management)
Smile 26,600
He's needing to lose some weight as he cant get up and down the pitch now without blowing out his arse.
JonnyKerr 3
Looks a shadow of his former self, looks as heavy as he's been since at the club and definetely not fit, mind you I don't think there are any in that team who are fit

If not he will go if for nothing else than a better standard of football both against and with..FWIW I believe his Scotland days are over regardless of what he does

AGM_72 3,599
I don't think Wallace has ever looked or been particularly quick for us. I think part of that his down to his running style though, it looks as if he's making harder work of it than he is. IMO, his timing of the run was always really effective. I think in a dynamic team with the likes of Davis, Jelavic and Naismith he looked like he had pace because his timing of when to burst was always spot on but in a team really lacking in pace he's one of the guys everyone kind of identifies as rapid, when in fact he wasn't and now appears to be slower because we aren't dynamic and there isn't much space being created for him to burst into. A Gallant Pioneer 555
Kris Commons beat him in a one on one race today, that is how slow he is now and his final ball is extremely poor as well. The big man is struggling big time.

Couldn't agree more mate, I said that to my son at Hampden today, and the guys around me all agreed, looks like he has been infected by the shite that he plays beside, feel for him. nachothelegend 1,932
I reckon our present coaching management team have made him worse. We sit back and try to defend deap and nothing going forward.Get rid of Our present coaches and replace them with ones who can coach. left winger 14,098
We only got Smith back because it looked as though we were going to sell Wallace. At the time I was glad we didn't but in hindsight we really wouldn't have missed him.
djbroxybear 660
Wallace didn't look fit today he was struggling big time, i really don't know what the fuck they do at training its becoming farcical..
sammy cox 664
If the 3 wise monkeys had noticed the boy Robertson when we played QP in div 3 we could have sold Wallace on for something and got ourselves a far better player for next to fuck all. Then again that would have meant the 3 wise monkeys having to take off their " we need experience" blinkers and that would never have done. We are crying out for more pace and width and yet we stick with the same tired gameplan, that constantly achieves nothing!Play him in front of smith? Crying out for pace and width? We have a fucking natural left winger in temps who for some reason cany get a game, yet Aird, who is fuckin' pish, doesn't get dropped.
berkshirebear 2,771
We need to try something different, as we seem to do the same thing every match and expect a different result, I'm sure that's the definition of madness.... The Godfather 71,654
He was woeful today. He let a fat lazy tramp sprint by him once to many in Commons. He's just not the same player we bought 3 years ago sadly. I doubt he will ever get his form back to that time
