Helicopter Sundae 5,967
And on this day 10 years ago, we played cellic at Ibrox in what should have been a Championship decider.Sunday, 24th of April, and by the end on the match, having lost 2:1, it was looking like a bloody forlorn hope of winning the league. At the end there was even a sign held up by one of them saying"We won the league at Ibrox".TWATS.Here is the bbc article, where they boasted: "gave Celtic a victory at Ibrox that virtually ensures the champions another Scottish title.".....Oh dear.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/4471013.stmMuwahaha.That article is well worth a read, even just to gloat. How the hell we managed to come back from being 5 points behind them is stuff of legend now.And as I pointed out here not long ago, we did it with the likes ofDado PrsoAlex RaeBoumsongand Marvin AndrewsALL FREE TRANSFERS. (according to Wiki) A fantastic end to an unbelievable season, and having effectively handed them the title, at home, 10 years ago today, a miraculous recovery.Never to be forgotten. Especially since those bastards had to conspire to get us removed from the league just to compete. That will never be forgiven.

Wawrinka 88
I don't remember a single person on FF (where i posted at the time) thinking we would win the league that day. That's why it was so special.
BF2 winston 123
HS. Was 11 at the time and watched whilst on holiday in the Elizabethan in Berwick. A good Rangers boozer now flats I believe was brilliant. Place erupted when motherwell scored apart from that knowing we were losing the title had been pretty quiet.. Not many memories of being 11 but I do remember that one
Guest
I watched this in a pub in Raleigh, North Carolina, folk were all looking at us wondering why there was a crowd of Scottish people all drunk in the pub at 8 in the morning, by the end of the game half of them were standing celebrating with us, what a day. Just another example of celtic coming up second best to the Mighty Rangers like they always do.
Jimfanciesthedude 24,507
We owed hibs a massive thanks twice that season, they cuffed the tarriers 3-1 after we lost that ibrox game then sat back and allowed us to play out the final game

cumnockbear 2,446
One of the best days of my life! Easter Road was bouncing that day, nearly fell from the Upper tier when Motherwell scored
Jimfanciesthedude 24,507
Oh and big dados performance at Pittodrie in the split that year was arguably one of the most commanding and leading performances ive seen from any rangers playerThe day before hibs cuffed the tarriers on their own turf, and we had to win at aberdeen, big dado dudnt just lead the line well, he dragged the whole team through that gameUtterly brilliant

Leeds_Bear 8,103
Also do you remember big Marv putting his career and body on the line for us?"Rangers manager Alex McLeish had gambled on recalling defender Andrews, who has refused to undergo an operation for a cruciate ligament injury"
hammer93 15,056
A great day, to think we contemplated not going as the thought of the tarriers winning was to much to stomach, wise words from myself when I claimed how good it would feel if we won it?We got to express those feelings which were of pure joy and ecstasy. WATP-FOREVER 5,231
22nd May 2005 - best day of my life - I travelled for 2 days to get there, around 12000km's.Never ever forget that entire day, from walking up easter road, buying a program, to watching novo score - and then running onto the pitch at the final whistle.WATP
bombaybadboy08 15,660
Was at that game at Ibrox, distraught.Couldn't get a ticket for Easter Road so my mate persuaded me to go out to the pub to watch the game. Plan was to get pished then fuck off sharpish at full time as I can't handle seeing those cunts around after they win anything.Standing there watching the game, empty, then McDonald scored We stopped traffic on the main street by doing the huddle and the bouncy, clapped the local Motherwell supporters bus past, bared our arses at the celt*c double decker.Unbelievable day.
