Id rather us get stuck in the championship for another year, get the kids back off loan and give them a go at getting us promoted. Yes we should bring in a couple of older guys (late 20s, 32 max) A CB, a CM and a CF.

As for the outs, i agree with the OP plus Faure, Miller and Kyle Hutton.

Starting 11 for next year (from the current holdings) that i'd like to see would be;

Bell,

Wallace, McGregor, Gasparotto, (by fuck we need a decent RB)

Law, Crawford

Aird, Vuckic, Gallagher

McKay

Lots of pace and stamina constantly running at the defence pulling them left right and centre.

Sinnamon, Zailukas, Murdoch, Walsh, Clark on the bench plus a couple of others.

Anyone coming in would need to be happy to fight for a 1st team place not just walk in and displace the kids, we need to get a strong young core of players who will bond, play, improve together and will see us proud for a couple of years at least.

Crawford ahead of Murdoch?! Murdochs been our best performer since January...bar Vuckic.

Crawford was pish today. Yeah he was played out of position but he couldn't even get a game for Morton.

Either or, i suppose.

Can't say a player is pish then admit that it was because he was played out of position. That reasoning could be used for Jig, after all he is a striker. As for not getting a game when on loan, that means fuck all, we've got 4 of them that won't be playing(unless we are saving the for the playoffs/???), perhaps Morton got him in "just in case" rather than he's better than what they have.

If he's not better than what Morton have then it's difficult to justify putting him in a rangers starting eleven.

Think people are being harsh on Higdon. He was POTY for the SPL at Motherwell, went to Holland and was top scorer for his new club before moving to Sheff Utd where admittedly it hasn't come off for him due to injury.

Ojamma and Higdon together would be a great partnership. Add to that Vukic and Nicky Law and we have a strong attacking line up.

Centre half is always going to be a problem until we get rid of the imposters and replace with quality.

If we end up with another season in the Championship, would fans not rather that we copied the very successful Hearts model from this season? Seems people just want us to go out and sign experienced players rather than have a mix of youth and senior pros.

What you mean Ojamaa the guy who was good for Motherwell for one season but has failed at Derby County, Stafford Rangers, Alemannia Aachen, Alemannia Aachen II, Fortuna Sittard, RoPS, Legia Warsaw & Sarsporg 08 not to mention 0 goals in 20 for Estonia. The striker who has scored 7 goals in his career if you exclude his 14 in two years for Motherwell.

Michael Higdon the 31 year old injury prone striker with no technical ability and who scored 2 in 13 last season.

People need to start realizing that signing the standard SPL shite players isn't going to work out for us, it's easy for these players to stand out for the diddy teams and as the last 3 years have proven when they come to Rangers they look like shite (Law, Black, Templeton, Daly, Foster, Shields, Kyle, Sandaza, Boyd) Just because McCall used to be Motherwell manager doesn't mean we need to be linked with every fucking shitty Motherwell player ffs.

There are a few gems that can be picked out of the dross within Scottish football but they are pretty rare yet people on here seem to be desperate to scatter our team with shite from around Scottish football.

Jon Daly and Kris Boyd were both better SPL strikers than Michael Higdon IMO.

Jesus fuck. That list is realistic though, our signing policy over the last decade has been to only go for players we've played against. Frustrating.

A decent scouting networks a priority and Paul Murray's comments about it not being important are a complete and utter joke. Relying on agents approaching us FFS.

To be fair that is probably true. Any player who has any interest or is willing to play for us next season will be offered to us by agents.

Long term we need to get better scouting in place if we want to find, nurture, develop and then sell on players but at the moment i reckon there will be hundreds of players at our level will be offered to us.
