bigblueyonder 11,156
If the SPL have told the SFL they are unable to pay contractual payments once due then the SFL have to press for a winding up order against the SPL... One less opposition to our license...

Smile 26,600
The SFL the big league now any League with Rangers in it is always going to be the most watched and talked about League anyway.
legalbeagle 3,734
In fact, we should lead the way as a club who should receive some benefit from the big guns of the SPL and their big TV and sponsorship deals.
ZeonBlue 378
We must look after the best interests of our club and the member clubs of the SFL and not have the financial integrity of our league compromised by any organisations outwith of said league due to their inability to live within their means. legalbeagle 3,734
If this is true, the SPL must be punished, sporting integrity demands it.

dan_ger 1,454
Yeah this is my line of thinking as well. Time for the SPL to face up to it's chronic mismanagement and what is that phrase that has been banded around recently, "take it's medicine"?, yeah that's the one. Bye bye SPL. fyfe 19
Agree with all above. The SPL have shown themselves to care only about their own continued existence, not caring about its members or the future of Scottish football. Well past time to get rid of it. kanjo 26,328
Whats unfortunate is majority of the SFL clubs cam lose out but..,the positive is with no SPL club likely to grt cash it WILL plug a few of them. I will eecord on Sky + (the irony....) every insolvency as it happens with utter joy.
ritchieshearercaldow 22,137
So have the SPL been promising to pay money that they didn't actually have?Have the SPL been signing contracts that were unfullfillable ?Can't the SPL borrow money to fullfill these contracts? Blue Tiger 5
If the SPL is insolvent, and attempts a CVA, then money owed to the SFL will be a footballing debt, and therefore will UEFA prevent any club in the SPL playing in European competition until it is aid in full? jebus197 20
Death to the SPL! I say we negotiate with Longmuir for a revised league structure and a revised FA. What can they do if we just ignore them? They are on the brink of voting themselves out of existence. Let it happen is what I say.We get our revenge when the SPL dies. BallochBear 1,613
If the SPL don’t cough up, the SFL can always employ cw’s new debt collection company to collect the outstanding cash. :mutley:
baxfanalex 113
Rangers must have absolutely clean hands in this. Our club sits around the margins of this implosion and has played no part in it due to our insolvency incident. The failure of the SPL to resolve the situation of its largest singular contributor cannot be laid at our door. As we walk away into the distance there will be many voices raised. If you don't need Rangers speak up now. The Scottish League could amount to the " last men standing " and have its commencement..............sometime soon.
