With the drastic improvement that w&w have provided at us and the way robbie neilson has got hearts playing how much would it realistically take to get more scottish clubs doing the same to provide a more competative league?

If Hearts come close this season and we romp the championship, I would expect a lot of clubs to change the way they work. There's no doubt good management and coaching are amazing levellers. Wouldn't take much to raise the standard a bit, at least.

The problem is though, when a team does well their good players get poached - either by us, Them or someone down south - which brings them all right back down again.

Money has ruined fitba so that even if a team does have a good youth set-up or coaching set up sooner or later one of the big boys comes along and takes your best players because they offer better wages and players can't help themselves. It's why I've never really paid much attention to the complaints about us not having the best youths. Unless you're Real, Barca, Man Utd or Chelsea it doesn't really matter if you have the best youth set-up in the world because you could raise a golden era of a youth team ( a la Beckham, Giggs etc.) but in the modern game one of the big teams would just come along and take their pick of your best. Meaning you don't get the benefit of raising those youths - unless you think raising players and selling them on is the point of football.

Just look at Atletico Madrid.

If Dundee HIVs, the sheep or Hertz could build a team and hold on to it for years they'd probably be challenging but as soon as someone shows promise they get lifted, putting the team back again.

It's more a concern for me now because it doesn't take much for any English side to take one of our players. The lure of playing in the self-styled "best league in the world" (not to mention a tonne of money) is enough to draw most players away, even to a smaller English side.

It is improving than what it was mainly due to Derek,Neilson,Warbs good coaching.

There will be no sheep challenge im afraid and hearts havent played anyone yet. The league will be won in a canter as per.
