cant defend or push forward. just runs stupid. Countless times last night plays just ran past him with the ball. I feel the opposite to an earlier post, maybe we would get the best out of Black if he wasn't beside Law. And that's not saying Ian Blacks the answer to our midfield either.

Just looked at his Stats here. 13 goals against lesser opposition against his 10 for Motherwell in the SPL. Expected more but obviously has found the pressure of stepping up to be a Rangers player difficult,

Ally sticks with his experienced favourites even when regularly and consistently playing poorly.

Daly, Black, to an extent Boyd, Law.

Think we need to accept the manager is happier with their contributions even when poor than bring in a less prominent squad member ( not necessarily a youth).

Neither Law or MacLeod are not really suited for a 2 man midfield IMO, so as for the time being I think we kind of have to stick with this formation as we can't afford dropping points testing another but for the future to get the best out of them we would probably need to adopt the 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

So jig, law, Black, Aird and Boyd are all cunts who we're hiding last night. Ha ha ffs how did we even win this game. I'm no saying they are world beaters but ffs they are all better than the abuse they recieve on this forum.

Agree, as unit we always looked the better side despite playing a bit below par,

I think Aird was a bit out of his depth last night which isn't anything to really be ashamed of but I really admire that he kept looking for the ball and trying his best. He hasn't got the talent of MacLeod but he's got a better attitude than most our team.

Like a few of the players we have at the moment they don't deserve to be anywhere near Ibrox, but here we are.

Last night in particular Law was MIA again so must agree with OP.

Sadly young Aird (but for his best, and only, cross of the game) was also a truant.

:7325:

Young Aird does what most kids do, he runs hot and cold, his confidence is low and he should be rested. Law is a seasoned pro and there is no excuse for him, doesn't contribute anywhere near as much as he should.

The thing about Law is he has spent his career bouncing about lowly teams for a reason, we can all see that at times he has the talent for a higher level, but most likely its application and his mindset that has been holding him back.

He could do with speaking to a sports psychologist & seeing if he can find a reason for his inconsistency, otherwise he`ll remain a frustrating figure in any team he plays in.

The ultimate passenger. Will never forget the Hearts game when we had a throw in and he was the only player in a position to receieve it with no one around him, he then decided to turn his back and run AWAY from it. Sums up him up as a player.

Probably too busy planning his two holidays at the end of the year tbh
