I don't know a lot about them, can't say I watched them much last season and by the sounds of things they've transformed their team for this coming season, new manager in Murray as well.

I'm a bit weary of them because normally the team relegated is favourite to go straight back up but obviously our league is a bit different from others in that respect.

I'm glad we play them first game of the season at Ibrox, hoping we lay a marker down with them just like we did with Hibs. I really can't see them being a worry to us but other than Hibs they're probably going to be the team that gives us a good push

They seem to be getting dismissed off Stubbsy-wubbsy anyway as he seems to reckon it's between Hibs & Rangers to get automatic promotion, yet you've not heard Warburton come out and say that, shows the difference in class between the two managers.

It'll be interesting to see how it pans out

Top 4 teams will be Rangers, Hibs, St Mirren & Falkirk IMO

Just looked at their first team squad on wiki and they only have 16 players? Presume youth will fill the rest of that though.

Goodwin, Gow and Stevie Thompson are the only ones I've heard of. Can't see them being a problem, in fact I think we might embarrass them next week.

I thought they let a whole load of players go but I'm now thinking that was a few years ago. Good to know they've not strengthened as their record last season was fucking dreadful

Let's not forget at this time last year we had already papped hibs and we're waiting to play a team who had been dropped from the prem.

of course anyone who knows me knows I am a miserable git

Lets not forget this time last year we had a shit manager with shit coaching and shit players....

This year will be different and St mirren will be brushed aside like the diddy club they are.

Warburtons blue and white army :uk::crabflute:

Fair point but that was a 2-1 struggle after extra time, not a 6-2 pumping in their own back yard

Agree with you.

MW gonna do what McCoist couldn't . . . . . . get us off to a winning start.

Any team not implementing the Hearts type model isn't going to be able to compete. Even then I think Hearts had a bit of a flukey season with the sheer amount of points they collected! St Mirren don't look to have made any changes and they are a smaller club. I can't see them doing that well. I think Falkirk are the best set-up to challenge us.

We were second best in that game and you could tell then the season would be a long toil.

This is how we set up for that game.

5-3-2

Bell

Foster

McGregor

McCulloch

Zal

Wallace

Macleod

Black

Law

Boyd

Miller

No wonder we got outplayed and then beat 3-1 a month later.

Dont forget about Queen of the South. It wont be easy, but i trust Warburton to get us back in the top league this season.
