I find it surprising that nobody has found this interesting enough to post about. The timing of Jim's resignation at Dunfermline is to apt for me, considering he was due to leave in May 2015.

I am wondering if he has been approached and thinks this might be his last challenge? He has the grit to put this pack of players in their place. He could attract a 'Rangers man' as his assistant if we so wish, with Neil McCann a possible candidate if his contract was cheap to purchase from the Pars.

I am still convinced that Ally will not be manager on Saturday and that the board have already considered potential candidates, hence my theory on Jim. I doubt Jim would be in the dugout on Saturday and stick with my claim that Gordon Durie might take charge.
