    • You get what you pay for. *Excludes purchases by Beale where you get a lot less
    • Probably best to get the 9 in a row VHS and just live in the past if you want Rangers men and a nearly all Scottish backbone.
    • A lot has been made of their success in that market but that stopped once their manager changed because the prior knowledge of these players moved with that manager. I think you need a mix of players, some more technical and skilful, some more physical and that usually comes from where they have played their football up until now. If we signed a Scottish player who moved to Italy at 15 they’d be totally different from one playing for Dundee so I guess your right it’s not necessarily nationality but more about where they have been playing and understanding the demands of the Scottish game. It’s also a reason why you need to blend experience levels in a squad too. Too many older, more experienced players will lead to lower energy levels. Too many young players will give you lots of energy but it will lack structure (actually laughable we had no structure in our last 3 games and have lots of experiences “pros”). The irony is even under Warburton there was talk about signing players with the right profile to be a Ranger and how many players in the last 9 years would anyone say fit what they believe to be a Ranger?
    • There was something about watchin 11 guys who loved the club playing in the colours, but aye, won't be happening again, the game is run by money not affiliation nowadays.
    • The manager has made mistakes with his team selections lately, no point pretending otherwise. But he could have selected whoever and set the team up any formation and they would still have blown it. Sometime, sooner or later. Everyone mustve known deep down it would happen. He got the team into a position where the prize was there for them but then the pressure started to build and they dealt with that pressure the same way they always do. They shat it. Thats down to their character and there is absolutely fuck all any manager alive can do to change a weak willed player into a winner. In every sport thats what sets winners apart and unfortunately we have very few if any.
