Dundee striker Leigh Griffiths has been rewarded for his excellent early season form with a place in the Scotland Under-21 squad to take on Azerbaijan.

Griffiths, who has netted 12 goals, comes in for suspended Dundee United forward David Goodwillie.

However, there is no place in Billy Stark's 20-man party for in-form Motherwell midfielder Ross Forbes or John Fleck of Rangers.

Celtic's Jason Marr replaces injured Falkirk defender Thomas Scobbie.

The Scots go to Baku on 14 November, having won three of their four qualifying matches for the 2011 European Championship.

Forbes and Fleck, who were in the last Under-21 squad, may yet be called up for the the Under-19s game against Germany in two weeks' time.

Scotland Under-21 squad for Uefa European Under-21 Championship qualifier with Azerbaijan in Baku on November 14 (kick-off 1500GMT):

Interesting that Loy keeps getting picked in regards to him not playing much. I'm a fan of him though.
