The taigs claimed that many on that list were made up. Who knows?

We managed to do ok without any of them at the club, so that will do for me! :crabflute:

Kitchenbrand and Spencer are the only two that I know of from the twenties onwards.

I think VB done an article on it last year to dispel claims by an Irishman that we are discrimintaory against their people.

when celtc were founded players left rangers to go to celtc. celtcs first team was all catholic.

on returned saying he didnt like the all catholic thing and came home to rangers.

Thereafter, Catholic players prior to Mo Johnston's signing include: Laurie Blyth (1951–1952), Don Kitchenbrand (1955–1956), Hugh O'Neill (1976), John Spencer (1985–1992) (Bill Murray, The Old Firm – Sectarianism, Sport and Society in Scotland (John Donald Publishers, 1984) pp 64–5
