Does anyone have any clues to what the wages are like in Div 3 I mean is it on average £200 per week or is it more or less?

I'd imagine it was between £50-£200 as the teams are part time.

some only get paid around £50 a week they are all fucking shite we should destroy everyone of them people are seriousley over estimated the level of the 3rd division on here

The East Stirling manager was moaning in The Sun last week about us being put in division 3..  He didn't seem to think it was fair that we could field players who earn thousands a week whilst his club have players who only earn £35 a week.

Wow thats incredible! Some nice comments from some of our fellow SFL3 clubs there, nice to see theres still people that see through all the bigotry and jelousy aimed at us.

lucky if they get £50 my mate used to play for berwick and got 20 quid petrol money a week. he ended up moving to armadale cause he was getting little bit more

My mate was offered a deal at Elgin iirc and he said they only offered travel expenses.

Seems like an unneeded spend and after years of overspending that's something I'd like to think we will try & avoid doing.

I know folk who chucked Div 3 cause they were getting more money in the Juniors, wages are pish.

Albion Rovers are in division two and pay 50 quid a game in told.

Its not just about the 3rd division though.

We want to be keeping up appearances in the cups as well.

We should be playing our youngsters and bringing them through the ranks. we have no need to go outand splash alot of money on new players.

We should however be signing a couple of older players who can guard our talented youngsters in the lower divisions.

My mate played for East Stirling and only got his expenses (petrol money) - took a penalty when they were 3-0 down and missed it - never played again

My cousin plays for a third division team and gets £250 a week.

Imagine you're a player in the third division, earning $200 a week or even playing for free and you get offered to play for $200 or for free, but with the facilities of Ibrox, playing before 30k + with millions of people around the world knowing your name.

Anyway these wages are terrible, at my club (Aussie rules) were just in a country league and we dont really have a pyramid structure but if we did we'd be maybe the 7th tear of Victoria, not even the whole country and our best player is on $500 AUD a week(330GBP)
18 year old ruckman on $200 AUD a week (130GBP) and base rate just if you fill in from the u18's or reserves is $75 AUD a week (50GBP)
