When I went in the 70s and 80s it was never known as that, and what's the relevance to Dublin, apart from GreenockBeing mostly Tim infestedback in the day there was a housing scheme behind that end of the ground where Oirish immigrants settled. It was known locally as "wee Dublin".
Johnnyren 601
Noticed there was no seat numbers on the tickets , so is it just a free for all ?
plumbGER 24,518
Its always been called the 'wee dublin end' and the reason for it was there was a small amount of houses in the industrial estate behind that part of the ground that were filled with Irish inhabitants after the famine. As for Greenock being filled with 'Oirish'then i can tell you that's a common misconception.I live in Greenock and i would say its about 50-50% and used to be 60-40% us.Its just those smelly bastards wear their tops everyday to show what they are.We also voted NO in the referendum to show our loyalty to the union.
