I don’t normally get a ticket for away games because I’m not a member of MyGers and haven’t been in the Continuous Credit Scheme for years now (even though they took £240 from my account for RB Liepzig away tickets last season and blamed it on an admin error), but a friend gave me his ticket for Paisley last weekend and I must admit I was impressed with the support considering the garbage we were watching on the pitch. I actually agree with others that the UB’s might be hindering the atmosphere at away grounds rather than helping it. I was stood up in the back left corner of the stand and rather than letting the songs come naturally it was almost like they had been pre planned, which made for a bit of a stale atmosphere around me whilst the section with the UBs was bouncing away. The fans who pay good money to go and watch the team week in week out are entitled to air their views towards the team, and we don’t want to go down the same road as the tims singing and dancing as they leave the Bernabeu after getting gubbed 5-1. Im all for supporting the team right to the last whistle but when we are drawing 1-1 away at St Mirren I think we can go without the likes of GSTK and Rule Brittania.

He had to do something after that semi final and he’s obviously came back with the right attitude and knuckled down in training. Right from the start Gerrard has praised his attitude so that’s good enough for me.
