Knew this day was coming for a long time but it’s hit me like a tonne of bricks. A young man who gave his all on the pitch and loved a good laugh off it. Struck down by a horrific disease when he should have been winding down as a player and perhaps going into coaching as well as enjoying his family life. 100%. Goram that night was just unreal. I haven’t seen a better performance by any goalkeeper anywhere than that night. A couple of days later he played at Torbett Towers and had another amazing game. Increbible goalkeeper.

Most pitches have the artificial stuff for the linesman to use so it doesn’t cut up. Yesterday was an accident and just bad luck for the Marseille player, don’t recall seeing a player being injured off the pitch like that before, on the artificial stuff anyway. 👍
