How much time should warburton be given?
StevenDavis replied to Bigsasasfloppyhair 's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
That's irrelevant; he's not going in a huff because things are going his own way - he's in a boxing ring with one arm tied behind his back. The constraints he's working under and the expectations are wild apart and unrealistic. -

And I wouldn't blame him; who would want a job where you are expected to challenge for every competition you are in when your main rivals can outspend 3-4 times what your board are willing to give you. I don't care who you are, no one can perform that sort of miracle. -

That's not what I'm saying. Folk are saying he hasn't addressed the defensive problem. The problem is that we can't actually afford good enough defenders. People can't honestly say Waburton is completely blind to the fact that the majority of our team shouldn't even be Rangers players. If he was given money only a handful of his signings would actually be here - we would have pursued other targets. You get what you pay for - stump up the money and spend wisely and you will find yourself good players. Cut corners and buy players on a free or on low fees then they are most likely going to be shite, part of the reason they were available for that sort of money in the first place. -

People keep saying this; if you think there is better players available how about naming some? -

We are, we are fucking shite, the players have a lot to answer for but you aren't going to get any good level of consistency or quality when you only spend £2-3million putting them together to challenge for the title? Teams in Championship spend that on one player alone. The result is the mostly player's fault, but Warburton still has a couple of things to answer for from the game. I don't believe there is anyone that we could attract that could do a better job than what he is having to do just now. These are the problems we will always face until we get major investment. There is not one player on our books that would even be in the pool of players when you look at the squad's from 2011 and then looking even further back. -

You are both missing my point, even if the money was spent elsewhere it's not enough to buy someone in who actually good enough; and even then he needs two defenders? Spending £2 million on one defender isn't going to help because odds are he's going to be playing next to some other incapable donkey.... The guy has limited funds, I don't think signing Garner was worth the £1.5 million or whatever it was we signed him for. But let's be honest, what two good defenders do we bring in for £750k each? -

Seriously? Have you forgotten what Warburton has done in the past 15 months? The guy has a very very average squad to work with and he's actually getting the best out of them. You're right, Kiernan is awful, he should be released next season. Barton and McKay haven't played well at all this season. You are missing the bigger picture, we are light years away from challenging. What annoys me most is that the tims aren't even that fucking good either. Even if we didn't spend that £2 million who would we sign? Bougherra and Cuellar cost £2.5m each! And that was 8-10 years ago.... -
Very average yesterday, doesn't do himself any favours chatting shit about Brown and then not backing it up. No time for the all talk no action shite he comes out with.

Do people not realise we have fuck all to spend and our defence is so bad because we have no money to strengthen properly, rather than Warburton's incompetence to sort out the defence? He will know Kiernan, Wilson etc aren't good enough long term and that Senderos is just a short term "solution" (didn't look like it on Saturday right enough...) Until we get some major investment into the team (£15m-20m); we won't be challenging for anything... -
We WILL be back where we belong
StevenDavis replied to Jimfanciesthedude's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
If we still had the Alan Hutton of that season and an on-form Daniel Cousin we would have been a bit more dangerous going forward -
We will need far more than £5 million to challenge for the SPL, and that's not even taking wages into consideration
-
For those that have the early release, how much money do Rangers have to spend 1st season in career mode? Cheers
-
If we were in the SPL they would be significantly higher, it's well documented they are so low because of the caps in the league we are in, which in fairness does keep the game balanced-ish, Even at that, they would still only be in the high 60's, we hardly have any players that would be rated 70+ with the exception of Wallace. I am surprised Boyd is so high but even at that I wouldn't be surprised if he actually gets downgraded when FIFA 15 is released. These ratings aren't final either.

Hamilton have a kid called Craig Watson who went to Eastwood in East Ren.

The demo is meant to be released tomorrow so I've heard?
-
Thinking about getting an xbox one this week, any advice? is it worth getting?

It was either that CIS Cup game when Shota scored in extra time or the second SPL game of the season when Novo scored a pen and then Prso scored.

Rangers boss McCoist hopeful on new signings
StevenDavis replied to Bothwellbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
A right back, a creative midfielder, a holding defensive midfielder and a creative left footed winger. The list could probably go on actually.... -
I think that's why they were mentioned

Open letter to David Templeton and Kyle Hutton
StevenDavis replied to BEE's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
First game of the season and we see what quite possible will be miss of the season. Templeton is far more effective coming off the bench. -
Absolutely Kenny Miller was the only player on the pitch (excluding Cammy Bell) that actually got pass marks for yesterday - and to think some folk on here are claiming he's finished - if we even somehow manage to get out of this division this year, Kenny Miller will be a massive reason why.
-
Absolutely frightening. Useless water, him and Black were all over the place, so unorganised and chaotic. He didn't offer anything all game but it was just so fucking typical he fucking scored 30 seconds after being announced man of the match, couldn't fucking believe my ears.
-
Fuck we will be lucky if they aren't down to 40-50's the way we played yesterday
-
I don't know what the fuck Southampton and Celtic have got going on but fuck me 12M for Wanyama first now 10M for feckin Forster, mental. Won't surprise me if Southampton sign Van Dyke next.
-
Yeah load of gash really but sometimes the overalls give a false indication of how good the player is anyway - there will be players in FIFA 15 that are rated 65 and play better than players that are rated 75.
