  1. All of the above are contenders plus 1973 cup final, 3-2 and of course ECWC final 1972 also 3-2.
  2. Agree. I wonder if we suffer from Oduwa and Zalalem being kicked up in the air so often? Whether they were the right loans for us or not I doubt their home clubs would say they saw much progress on their development.
  3. Absolutely spot on. We've got our issues no doubt but we've got to build from something. Knowing what's wrong is one thing but knowing what's right and building from that is the way forward.
  4. That's my three too. Late 50's so lots of choice but those three made a real difference.
  5. That second half performance was getting close to league winning material. Just add somebody like Garner to connect with one or two of the dozen or so quality crosses we put into the box. And. Nothing better in football than an injury time winner.
  6. It seems and I'm hoping that Dodoo has got that McCoist thing about just being in the right place at the right time.
  7. Did we not also get beaten by sellick around then. Seem to recall a joke about getting beat by the Greeks and Romans in the same week. Anyway, you are right, the quality shone through in the end and let's have faith it will do this season too.
  8. Maybe we'll have Fod pushing up overlapping with the full backs.
  9. Well done bears, threads don't get much better than this one.
  10. Excellent vid, thank you. Really good illustration of what we were up against - tight pitch, packed defence.
  11. Agree. It's not just the full backs though, I'm generally worried about our lack of cover in key positions. Happily we're relatively injury free so far.
  12. It's always been just Rangers for me but I did like it in the 90's when we were strong in Europe and the other lot weren't. You'd see European teams calling us just 'Glasgow'.
  13. It's hard to imagine a worse stadium name than Boghead but 'The Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium' probably does it. Same team (Shiels for Halliday if required) and same attitude as Monday please. Keep the momentum up.
  14. Pretty much agree with the OP's ratings. The point for me is when did we ever have a manager with that sort of success with his signings? And he had very little time or budget to work with. 10/10 for Warburton indeed.
  15. Agree, we missed out on a good attacking full back because of his injury. Was sitting in the Govam when it happened and at the time just thought he caught his studs in the turf tbf.
  16. Not seeing the same enthusiasm for this match as we've had recently. 13 pages on the Naismith thread and 2 pages on the match thread!
  17. So proud of my club watching that. At his darkest hour and arguably our darkest hour we rally round a friend in need. All the players and management spoke so well about Fernando. Truly, more than a club. And apologies if straying off topic here but Spiers was on Cowan & Cosgroves programme on Saturday bleating about how he fell out of love with Rangers due to the 'bigotry'. It made me annoyed at the time (should have switched off really) but after watching Fernando's programme I just thought in one weekend I'd experienced the extremes of powerful dignity on one hand and sleekit self-aggrandisement on the other.
  18. Most important game is the first against QOTS. Draw or better and we'll get promoted.
  19. That's right about Gazza and Erik Bo Anedrson - I remember the headline in The Sun was Bo Piddly
  20. when Dalglish was managing them - 'mibbes aye, mibbes naw' to to the nine in a row tune
  21. Quick question bears - are any of our matches on Sky this season? I thought they were planning to show some but they aren't shown on the Sky website.
