  1. Big Foot will be the new owner, with The Loch Ness Monster in as director of football.
  2. I hate the way they claim to know what we are thinking and feeling. Any casual observer reading this will think we are all practically suicidal. Misrepresenting the truth. Is that not the worst crime a reporter can commit? Obviously not these days.
  3. Looks great. Clean layout and lots of nice detailing. I like the swooshy-opera-house-into-star logo too. You could maybe make the header navigation stand out a bit more with higher contrast? Or move it below the banner? Also, you should change the first sentence from 'Welcome to our website!' to 'Welcome to our website, you drongo!' Edit: When I go to About Us, then back to Home, the page breaks.
  4. Journo is sent to America at fairly high expense. Fails to get a story because he (like anyone else) should have called ahead. Decides he has to write something other than "They decided not to talk to me and I can't speculate why." It's how that industry works - long gone are the days when the story would be scrapped because no information was gleaned. He just decided to take a wild swipe at the man so it doesn't look like a wasted trip. These people have absolutely no morals and will simply print lies or opinions for as long as they can get away with it. Their industry is dying and as such they are becoming more desperate. This incident reveals nothing about the reality of the situation - good, bad or otherwise. Just be patient and give BM enough time to do what any other business does and plan their media strategy. Try and ignore the reactionary and sensationalist news stories for now.
  5. Murray, TBK, Whyte, Kennedy, D&P, Bain all had one thing in common - they dragged their heels on every little thing, whether it was transfers, financial decisions or telling us the whole story. The one thing nobody has mentioned that might actually be a god-send is that BM could be a very decisive businessman and straight-shooter who makes things happen quickly. If that's true I'll be over the moon.
  6. So when the SPL inevitably fails we make the move? Excellent!
  7. If Miller is named preferred bidder and the SPL refuse to play ball on his demands, is there any chance that he will still buy the club? His offer is conditional, so I'm guessing that would leave us without any buyer. If that's the case, would we simply be liquidated and sent to the third dividsion under Whyte's ownership? We KNOW Whyte's the devil, but if Miller comes in and liquidates us, is he any better?
  8. In a sense, if Bill MIller's bid was successful and he took over the reigns we should be dancing in the street. No sanctions, history intact, Craig Whyte away. The only problem is, that won't happen. So I wonder if it's even worth bothering with 6 weeks of negotiations only to be told we are liquidated?
  9. Great feedback guys - it's looking positive. Well done corkinator for your contribution so far - testimonies like that would build momentum fast. Imagine a counter at the top of the page saying "£3,000,000 revenue for SPL sponsors lost to date." Obviously they would take the figure with a pinch of salt, but I defy them to ignore it.
  10. United as Rangers fans, we can generate a great deal of leverage to get the treatment we deserve, but evidently not enough leverage to stop the attacks and biased santions imposed on the club by the media, SPL and UEFA alike. So, the question that has been plaguing me these past few weeks is, how can we rectify this? My theory is that we can only get what we want by uniting as consumers. Our total spend on Rangers per year is certainly in the tens of millions, but our total spend on all consumer goods and services is surely much, much higher. Maybe even hundreds of millions. Many companies are very aware of this, and so decide to sponsor Scottish football to reap the financial benefit from our brand loyalty. The recently mooted SPL sponsor boycott had a lot of support within the fanbase, but without a great deal of organisation and tracking of the financial impact this protest loses a lot of it's impetus. So, I propose we aim to consolidate the boycott efforts under a single movement. This should take the form of a branded website with tools to track the money lost by sponsors due to the actions of the SPL figureheads. Very quickly we would see sponsors panic, and the idea of sponsoring Scottish football at all will become a poisoned chalice that no company would risk taking on. I can build this website, but I wanted to guage fan reaction to the idea and see if fellow bears feel the idea can get off the ground. I propse a 2 column layout, with the SPL sponsor on the left and alternate brands of the right. The alternate brands would be accompanied by discount codes wherever possible and goole map locations so users can quickly and easily figure out how to change brand loyalty. There would then be a tool for users to record how much money they spent on the alternate brand. This way, we can keep a running tally of the money lost by sponsor brands. With any luck, alternate brands will see the potential and offer incentives to switch, such as discounts, charitable donations, free delivery etc. We could also use affiliate links so the act of ordering from an alternative brand online can actually generate income for the RFFF. Please leave your ideas, feedback, suggestions etc to help me decide if this is worth doing. Also, if you can help with the job of designing/building/promoting the site, please let me know.
  11. "I will not rest until I have stretched every sinew to breaking point" Guarantee he was havin a ham shank when writing that.
  12. With all due respect, this thread has been pretty unconstructive so far. It's a very important topic, so let's bring it back to a level headed debate. To the OP and regular away fixture attendees, would it affect your opinion if the players/Ally came out and said they would support a boycott? Also, what if playing under 21 fixtures or having beambacks on away weeks was a real possibility, would that be a reasonable replacement in terms of still supporting the club week-in week-out in the short term?
  13. Because this is what Jig was still doing 2 minutes after the goal and everyone else had calmed down.
  14. I agree completely. Anyone who thinks the club we all love is just about football is sadly mistaken. Wherever we assemble, wherever we sing, we are the people who uphold the traditional values we consider most important. No legal document or the opinion of some judge will ever change that. Our team may bond us, but our values define us.
  15. No worries - too good a night to complain
  16. I fully expect Ally to keep this line-up going into our next game.
  17. Wow, as a (very) amateur photographer I have some idea of how hard that moment would be to capture. Was it Willie Vass? A real great moment captured that sums up the joy we all felt.
