We can't afford to continue the trend of replacing manager after manager. Maybe Gerrard is struggling, but he'll need two more windows before we really know what he's capable of. This has been a really shite spell for us, and Gerrard is deserving of some stick, but if he can get the January window right and keep up with the scum over the next few months then things could get interesting.

With him missing, we relied on Ejaria and Coulibaly. It's proof we don't have the strength in depth required to take this league. January is a golden opportunity to bring in the creative attacking midfielder we sorely need. One last dip into dodgy Dave's warchest, send Sadiq back and bring in someone like Solanke on loan and we might nick the league. Kent and barisic coming back in won't do any harm either.

As great as being in Europe is, the whole nature European competition has been destroyed to favour certain clubs and leagues. As good as some of the football in the CL is, I find it increasingly boring. Same teams all the time, overhyped and overpaid players, constant diving etc...This is further totally unnecessary meddling. It should be Champions go into CL, regardless of league, none of this top 4 clubs from one league nonsense. Remainder can go into Europa League. 

This is nothing to do with "Scotland becoming a footballing backwater" and everything to do with UEFA being contemptible, corrupt cunts who only want to cater to a select few teams and nations. The fact that the champions of any league have to go through qualifiers to get into the champions league is evidence enough of this. They should stop insulting the fans intelligence and just rebrand everything as "the commercial cup 1,2,3" etc. I haven't watched a European match since Rangers were last in Europe and every home one I've watched this season has been at Ibrox.

It is a question I would love to see answered. I actually think he would run riot and score more than he does now. Could you imagine a Jelavic type striker with Alfredo playing off his shoulder? defenders wouldn't know who to track, or where they would go.

They were very very good at this. Spartak didn't play well, but they can definitely close down at a rate that makes players lose composure and make a slack pass.
