  1. Tough one to take with the way the game panned out, but can't argue with the quality of the strike. Score first at Ibrox and it's game on.
  2. No shame in Wright not being good enough at this level, it's a high level - but he should be getting subbed.
  3. Happy with that. Could do with Wright keeping the ball a little better but he's worked his socks off tbf and isn't exactly in his natural position.
  4. Any result that keeps us in the tie for Ibrox next week will do. Hoping for 1-1, would settle for 2-1 Leipzig
  5. I've not seen enough of the guy to have an informed opinion on his ability but it'd probably be irresponsible not to at least look at a guy who's up for POTY, out of contract and on our doorstep. Even if it's simply doing due diligence. It's one of those things that people will freak out about when we've had a poor season/recruited poorly when in reality we've probably looked at all manner of players across the season. Some other folk in this thread will have you believe we're signing a team full of Jake Hasties this summer.
  6. I was the same until the Braga game at Ibrox. Trying to watch it on my phone on the way up the road from London on a train with shite signal and having to put the radio on But I'd still get messages from the group chat come through, nerves born out of the frustration of not being able to watch haha.
  7. Tavernier over Rogic and Bassey over Barron or Doig - the latter of which has spent a fair chunk of the season out injured I'm sure.
  8. Forgot how depleted our midfield/team was that night: Alexander, Broadfoot, Weir, Cuellar, Papac, Novo (Buffel 59), Whittaker, Hemdani, Dailly, Davis, Darcheville (Cousin 59). Subs Not Used: Graeme Smith, Boyd, Gow, Webster, Faye. Wild
  9. I was going to mention that incident in my post but decided not to because I can't understand how that wasn't clear and obvious . Whereas the Motherwell boy's tackle on Wright I could understand not being overturned if it went to VAR as it's one of those tackles that's given as both red and yellow in different games every weekend. (Even though I'd say the one yesterday was a red.)
  10. I think this is one of the incidents that VAR wouldn't help with. It probably wouldn't fall under the "clear and obvious" error bracket and would probably spark even more debate.
  11. Fair play to Scott Wright today, he played very well. I thought Davis was exceptional. Across the board the team were good today, responded well to what was a difficult situation.
  12. Quite possibly. These things don't seem to get punished nowadays though, do they? Obviously not on the same scale but Haaland's agent was touring europe last summer talking to clubs. Agents are usually aware of options on the table, however that's communicated to them.
  13. The tweet in the original post and the one 4th official posted don't really contradict one another. Lowry's representatives could have spoken to Newcastle and the club might not have received any contact from Newcastle yet.
  14. Good player, but not seen enough of it - too disrupted by injury to get a proper go at things. The thing that stands out for me is the timing of his runs, usually arrives at the right moments in attack and his intelligence on the ball/movement is pretty obviously good. That said, from a fitness perspective it's not going to get any easier as he gets older. Even during games it's been a bit stop start with him, drifts in and out of things a bit. Don't think it'd be a wise investment, I'd be looking elsewhere in the summer.
  15. Said it many times, his ability to glide past players is handy - you can see why Gerrard and co took him on as a project signing but sadly he's not really progressed his decision making or his end product. Quality on the ball yesterday was noticeably poor, hope I'm wrong but don't see him getting much better.
  16. The way they were falling apart at the end of the 90, and then in extra time, makes it harder to take that they're ahead in the league. If we hadn't lost at Ibrox I'd feel pretty confident this would have put the shiters up them.
