  1. read this again exactly right. They will force him out first slight wobble. One of the main reasons they are so weak.
  2. Agreed. Not least when they feel that nothing is going their way anyway. I haven't got over the crude way Scotland were denied a place at the Euro's. A set up if ever there was one.
  3. I am a big supporter of a system as used in American Football Each manager gets two challenges per game (one for each half). If the manager decides to challenge, play is up for review as soon as the manager throws in his challenge marker. However, to make it workable I believe play would have to be allowed to continue until the ball went dead through normal play. Once play stops, the referee then crosses to a private video screen at the side of the field where he watches various replays. If the replays are inconclusive the original decision stands. If that is the case, the manager's challenge is refused. In American football, that side forfeits a time out. I suppose the forfeit in football could be a substitution. Obviously if the challenge is good, the ref changes his call. There is no penalty to the manager but he has again used up his challenge.
  4. We used to have a support full of real bluenoses. I remember after one OF game, people were lined up five deep to throw themselves in the Clyde. No passion in our fans anymore. I haven't even heard of someone slashing their wrists over a bad result since they banned the Billy Boys.
  5. Darts has been going downhill since they took Bullseye off the air.
  6. Toronto FC. LA Galaxy are decent to watch and Salt Lake at home is a sight to behold because the altitude gives them such an advantage. Some years ago I was in Colorado and wanted to go see them play in Denver. Tickets were about $50. To me, that just seems wildly overpriced. Not just in terms of the quality of game you get to see, but also in terms of trying to bring in new fans.
  7. Love this clip. "These pizzas are absolutely hoachin' wi' grease"
  8. Watched it on the computer here at work, with the sound turned way down so I could pretend to be working. When Novo put the penalty in, I just couldn't believe it. It was terrible to have something that great to celebrate and no bears to join in for a sash bash. I called polar bear to celebrate and then headed straight to the nearest boozer with a mate from work. At that point, I no longer cared about whether I should leave the office or not.
  9. I don't care if we are playing beautiful football with only 5 games to go. But I do care a LOT that we approach games like we actually want to win them, rather than like we don't want to lose. There is a big difference between taking a game to sides, forcing the tempo and cracking in chances and sitting against the likes of St Mirren trying to soak up pressure.
  10. That and a combination of thinking they are a big club regardless of what happens. Their fans are loyal enough to ensure there is always a huge crowd, but fickle enough that they constantly want changes. I agree absolutely with Thermo's point. I honestly think we would be in similar problems if we didn't have a major rival nearby showing us when we slip. And when they slip and we slip in near lock-step, you can see that we both quickly become pretty poor sides.
  11. Just about to look at the entire book, but based on the few you selected, you have done a hell of a job. I would be in the market for one if you could get it down to GBP30 instead of GBP50. At the lower rate, I can probably get a couple people interested. And I've been looking for a good website for my photos visiting Scotland last summer. I now have a good place to start...
  12. That was pretty funny. There was verse for everyone on the team sheet that day. Including. Posh Spice is a slapper, she wears Versace coats And when she's shagging Beckham, she thinks of Bertie Vogts.
  13. They are saved in some obscure hidden folder. Read the Firefox FAQ to find them.
  14. Great stuff, glad you posted this Manti. Not enough recognition given to people of vision and foresight in Scotland, but especially to the founders of Rangers.
  15. I can understand this view 100%. If you have given every weekend this season (and thousands of pounds) to the cause of following your team, then its a lot of nonsense for people who are at best fair-weather fans to get equal treatment. at the same time, I think there is a case for balancing their regular gates, the dismal attendance at the semi and the relative size of Falkirk with the fact that this is something of a once in a lifetime event for them.
  16. People are not addressing this point. I'd like to hear opinions from people. Were there only 20,000 bears at the game? If so, was this because we were not given any more tickets than that or because people couldn't be arsed going?
  17. Agreed. Neither side has looked capable of a flawless run-in. I'm just hoping we can find it within ourselves!
  18. No wonder. Bowe had hit him twice before Donald even got his hands up.
  19. 5-0 right now and 2 in the last few minutes. I think NE might collapse even further and there is still 5 minutes to go. MMS games can be hit and miss but this is excellent.
  20. Agreed. One of the daftest articles I have ever seen on here. (no disrespect to the OP I am talking about the Sun's report) I hadn't thought of signing Beckham but of course I would like too. Sounds like they happened to ask Harry about the two maybe as part of trying to stir hornets over boozegate. Would be a dream ending for Barry.
  21. Yes, I am with Slim Jim on this one. If he had written about bears standing in the background of every trouble spot in the world, most people would be furious. I'm not sure it is much of a compliment to them either Having been to various trouble spots around the world, as well as numerous obscure little places in the middle of absolute nowhere, I am pleased to say I have never seen the bheggars hoops being worn. If you want to see grey and green in the midst of destruction, go to Royston not Kabul or Beirut.
  22. At this point, I think it would be simpler to ask, has anyone actually been charged and convicted? The success rate must be about 0.01% at present.
  23. Difference is that people around the world will watch the EPL. There is a lot of interest in each week's games and TSN, SportsNet and Score all show live footy here. By contrast, Shitanta costs $$ each month, the picture quality is awful and most of the games are awful. There is almost no interest from neutrals here in paying to watch that each week.
