  1. Such a shame a few more bears haven't got "too much time on their hands" would be great to see some action and defence of our club but hey oh I guess there are always spelling mistakes to look out for...
  2. Mixed response as ever - this was my original email and whilst not happy with the 'apology" I'm still going to keep at them whenever I feel the need. Dear Mr Keenan, Apologies for contacting you directly on what may seem to you a trivial matter. I am a regular listener to your SuperScoreboard phone in on Radio Clyde and as I live in Leicestershire I rely on this show to keep me updated on all things Scottish Football especially my team Rangers. The phone in has always shown a small amount of pro-celtic bias due to the affiliation of your main anchor jim delahunt but I have always overlooked this and just accepted that it's his way. However tonight his behaviour in reading out a statement on the show glorifying a blogger whom even the Scottish Sun shunned as "being tarred with a sectarian brush" was reprehensible. His repeating verbatim using words like stalag and sevco were designed just to inflame the few remaining Rangers fan who still listen to this increasingly one sided program and his contemptuous sarcastic manner in the way he delivered this may very well see jim getting his wish and having no Rangers fans tuning in. I would respectfully request that BauerMedia as the parent group schedule an apology to be read out for any offence caused by this crass behaviour and warn the anchor as to his future conduct regarding the broadcasting as fact the deluded ramblings of this blogger. I would appreciate a response from yourself or your team regarding this as it's by no means the first time that this persons work, and indeed personal appearances on the phone in from him under a varying guise of names which fooled nobody listening, has been used as a direct attempt to wind up and inflame listening Rangers fans. Again I apologise for contacting you directly but this is a subject that myself and many others feel very strongly about - if I am wrong and your policy is to let these things be said without any option for a fair balanced response, despite numerous attempts we just don't seem to get the opportunity unlike an extensive list of pro-celtic callers who seem to appear every evening without any problems getting through, then let me know and I will inform fellow fans that this is the case and there is no point in continuing to listen.
  3. After last nights disgraceful comments by jim dela?hunt I complained to BauerMedia UK MD I received a quick response to my request for an apology from them for his blatant dig and promotion of the "sectarian brushed one" Below is the statement to be read tonight - make of it what you will... Thank you for your email to Paul Keenan, regarding our Superscoreboard program last night. As a result of your email and the general response to that segment of the show we are going to broadcast an official statement of clarification at the top of the show tonight. The official statement is included below for your reference. “We’ve had a considerable response from listeners to the statement from Rangers Football Club which we read out on SuperScoreBoard last night. “Last night’s listeners will recall we were asked by Rangers fans to see if we could get an official club response following a tweet attributed to the blogger Phil - The Failed Journalist, alleging that the Rangers chief executive was considering his position. “The club was clearly seeking to clarify the situation for Rangers fans who are concerned about rumours circulating and we were happy to oblige as we had lots of callers last night who were seeking clarification. “The press statement which Rangers provided included the original tweet and we read out the full statement, word-for-word. “Just to be absolutely clear, regarding the reference to ‘Stalag Sevco’ within the tweet quoted, we in no way condone any comparison between football clubs and prisoner-of-war camps and recognise that many people will regard that language as tasteless. “We’re sorry if any fans were offended, but, for the avoidance of doubt, it was only read out because it was included as part of an official Rangers FC statement.” I hope this clarifies the matter and reassures fans that this was only broadcast as it was an official Rangers club statement. Best regards Graham
  4. Jubilee Club is jumping #BearsAreGavingAParty
  5. Heading to train Now Sheffield get ready! Off to Jubilee club about 4:00 see you at the bar - I will be the one in the blue top...
  6. Send it to me Oleg - If I can get it out into the open I will do so.
  7. Thanks for your comments and I have sent this mail in so will update with any progress or feedback. I have signed the petition and also got 10 others to do so - if we all did that this would be being debated now instead we languish at less than 40k last time I looked so come on people don't you think the unwashed would have had everyone and their non-related granny signing this? Their close family members would take it past the million mark! The time for sitting back or ignoring the "bampots" is over - it took action to save our club and its going to take action to right the wrongs being heaped upon us it may seem a trivial eMail or waste of time to some but at least its an action being taken instead of mumbling in the corner - these jokers have been regrouping and the appeal news is just what they were waiting for to wage another propaganda war against us. We are the people - come on then lets see some people power...
  8. Bears and Bearettes I am sending the following mail into Clyde copying in the usual to ask for clarification of the continued diatribes from Hugh Keevins. I have tried to get on air to discuss this with him but no joy so will see if they and he has the balls to address these. Prior to doing so can I ask that the grammar police and wiser bears check it out to make sure I have got things right before sending it and giving an easy get out option? Subject: Request for on air clarification from Hugh Keevins Dear ... , I have been trying unsuccessfully for several weeks to get onto your Super Scoreboard Programme to try to discuss what I feel are continuous slurs against my team by one of your contributors a certain “Hugh Keevins”. He has repeatedly used comments like “broken timeline” “ran away from their debts” “debt free at a cost to the creditors of the OldCo” “no punishment” and I feel that an equal opportunity show that is the most listened to and is in fact the sole broadcaster to cater for Scottish Football on a daily basis should at least give us the opportunity to ask for answers to vital questions and refute these claims which are bandied about so often they are almost accepted as fact. I am a Rangers fan and have been for 50 years and readily admit that there recently have been issues with the corporate management of my club which has impacted on the daily running of the football side of things as well as indirectly affecting the rest of Scottish Football as a result of recent events. I would however ask that you pass the following questions / statements onto Hugh Keevins and ask that he address them in his next appearance on the show – instead of his weekly diatribe this will give him the chance to clarify his statements and hopefully using his extensive contacts and knowledge confirm or refute them. 1 – Broken Timeline: The football side of the business along with the assets and history was sold to Charles Green’s consortium during the administration process and prior to the corporate company going into liquidation – ergo no broken timeline as the club was owned by a new corporate entity prior to this.2 – Ran Away From Their Debts: I assume he is referring to the old corporate company which did allow a number of debts to accumulate under the stewardship of Craig Whyte. These debts can be broken down into 4 separate sections;Football Debts – these were settled by the Charles Green Consortium as part of the licence conditions imposed by the SFA. Tax, N.I. Contributions and VAT ( not including the “Big Tax Case” ) – these were withheld by Craig Whyte despite being deducted at source so in fact the football operations side of things was actually complying with the rules but the corporate management structure did not pay these to the relevant authorities. Craig Whyte is currently facing legal action from the liquidators of the old corporate company with regard to moneys missing from the old company. Sums in the region of £50 million pounds have been quoted – it is safe to assume the withheld deductions are part of this claim. Non Football Debts – This is the most damning of Hugh Keevins regular comments and its one that is often the most emotive as it affected small businesses most of them local. It should be noted that a large number of the smaller debts were paid by the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund and individual fans that took a moral responsibility and settled where possible. Charles Green’s Consortium did try to secure a CVA to settle these but as we are all aware this was rejected by HMRC, who claimed they never do deals but then promptly did a deal with Heart of Midlothian, so no settlement was reached. As a codicil to this perhaps Hugh Keevins can find out why prize money and transfer fees which were payable to the old corporate entity are still being withheld by the SFA and SPL when these could, of course, be used to repay some of the Non football Debts? Ticketus – the famous ticketing advance deal which was used to purchase the previous corporate entity was a personal transaction which was underwritten by personal guarantees from Craig Whyte so as such form no part of any potential debt associated with the “OldCo”. 3 – Current Status and how we got there: We find ourselves languishing in Division 3 of the SFL as a result of the SPL Clubs voting not to allow Rangers re-entry into the current top league of Scottish Football – this is fact and should require no clarification. We are currently under a transfer embargo imposed as part of the conditions of licence issue from the SFA – this was deemed to be an “illegal” punishment by a court of law but was held as a Sword of Damocles over our heads in that refusal to accept this “illegal” punishment would mean a refusal of a licence to play football. – Can Hugh Keevins clarify that this is true? As a result of the placing in Division 3 of the SFL a number of players left the club with no transfer fees being paid for them. This is still subject to a legal challenge by Charles Green’s consortium and it would be reasonable to have expected sums of approximately £25 million for these players. This could have been sufficient to pay the small creditors and perhaps stave off the Liquidation of the Old corporate entity. – Can Hugh Keevins clarify that this is true? As a result of there being a new corporate entity looking after the football side of the business that are currently unable to produce 3 consecutive years accounts we are currently ineligible for entry to European competition – this is fact and should require no clarification. There have been several other clubs who entered into administration namely Motherwell, Dundee and Queens Park who all successfully agreed a CVA to pay a small percentage of debts owed – presumably Hugh Keevins when speaking of them also adds his famous “ ran away from their debts” line? . – Can Hugh Keevins clarify that this is true?

  12. Bears - Received a reply so thought I would update thread... Hello Roddy, Firstly thankyou for taking the time to contact me directly. It's always good to receive feedback on our shows, whether it be good or bad. I take on board your comments and will raise your concerns directly with Jim and the Superscoreboard team. I'm keen that we provide a fair approach to our phone-in show. It's a new season and a new start for the show, so please stick with us. Kind Regards - John Dash Programme Director, Clyde 1 and Clyde 2
  13. Thanks for the link sent this off - lets see what reply, if any, we get... Dear Mr Dash, As an exiled Scot living in the English Midlands I rely on programs such as Super Score Board keeping me in touch with the latest happenings in Scottish Football. As an exiled Rangers Fan I'm sure you can understand that my thirst for updates and news was almost insatiable during the last SPL season. I downloaded your iPhone App but found it to be less than reliable so I have, for the last 7 months or so, listened online to all of your programs. I have to say that I became extremely dispirited and downright angry at a lot of the content of your broadcasts and the extreme viewpoints that were allowed to be broadcast during these shows. In fact the ridiculous perceived bias that your anchor and core presenters seemed to be freely expressing without any reasonable right to reply made me think that my team had carried out something akin to the human rights abuses that were taking place in Tibet and East Timor. Needless to say when any lone dissenting voice was allowed 20 seconds or so to put across a favourable Rangers viewpoint they were inevitably shouted down and on more than one instance Keevins accused Rangers of depriving Hospitals and Nurses of vital potential lifesaving equipment by avoiding tax payments! The last straw was the on air discussion between Delahunt and Phil McGiven, a former social worker with known extreme views and an almost daily internet blog dedicated to besmirching Rangers at every opportunity, where an obviously rehearsed dialogue took place about what punishment would be meted out to Rangers despite no guilty verdict being delivered. I have tried on several occasions to ring through to support the true Rangers supporters but was never able to get access to the presenters so I have felt the need to mail yourself and ask if there has been any editorial change for this new series of programs. If the same old jump on Rangers at every opportunity is going to carry on as the expected norm please let me know so that I don't waste my time and energy listening to this. Radio Clyde used to be known as a fair and impartial broadcaster that steadfastly refused to take sides between Rangers and celtic but the perception now is that it is 100% celtic. If this is the case then let me know now as I have no wish to hear the same nonsense regurgitated every 5 minutes with no apparent editorial control... I hope that a new season will bring a refreshing change to Super Score Board's content but will await to hear from you before deciding to tune in further. Regards
