I sincerely hope it's not his last game, although, as has been said above, I can't see the administrators keeping him. He's been a solid player for us a years, rarely does anything spectactular, but rarely makes any mistakes either. His consistency will be sorely missed when he goes. And, as for being played in midfield...it just doesn't make sense. He did a great job adapting from centre half to left back, but to then expect him to learn another new position at this stage in his career is just beyond me. I find it difficult enough being asked to play in a different position to what I normally play, even at my level. Can't imagine how much more difficult it is at that level.
