PC has an issue with Cantwell. He has stuck him on The right and never given Him a chance. Cantwell has issues but he is streets ahead of Lammers. Have to wonder if the coach feels the need to be the Center of attention

I am seeing quite a lot of folk on Twitter saying it was unlucky or that we dominated and just wasn’t our day. I have seen a few comments on here also suggesting similar. Fair enough though, said I didn’t want to be that guy and probably shouldn’t have been, my point was that the mentality is poor and has been consistently poor from the same players year after year. Whether that has been under Beale or GVB it’s my opinion and I will leave it at that as others disagree

Happy to debate if that was better than Beale. I don’t think it was. I think it was really familiar to Beale and GVB days. I am not for a second questioning PC as I think he is the right man for the job and he has only been here a minute but I think yesterday showed emphatically that many of these players don’t have the mentality. The subject of the thread. Yesterday was pish and I don’t think we should be sugar coating it. I still think the league is in play though.

I don’t mean to be that guy. But I am going to be that guy. The fact that we have so many supporters this morning thinking that yesterday wasn’t that bad or just unlucky is a glaring indicator of how far our standards have fallen. In the 17 years I have been on this forum I don’t know how many times I have said this, but it bears repeating. When you have watched enough football you can see when a team is unlucky and you can see when they are not good enough and/or not working hard enough. It’s not the possession. Or the xG or the shots on and off target or the number of corners that tells you the story, it’s your eyes. Barasic making the wrong choice every fucking time is not borne out in any of those stats, Center halves leaving a massive gap between them on a simple punt up the park, not taking command of headers, and having no pace doesn’t show up in possession stats. Attacking players unable to cleanly strike a moving ball, midfielders not able to dominate their opponents. We have players being paid fortunes getting out worked by players on a fraction of their wage. It’s not unlucky it’s unacceptable. a team with a strong mentality don’t make excuses, they deal with the situation presented and they come up with the goods when it matters. As so many others have said, we have many players that have failed under 4 managers now. Yesterday was pish.

We should start every game as if it’s a cup final. PC said that in the pre-match interview. Teams raising their game against us is absolutely normal. It’s been that way for as long as I have been alive and don’t expect it to change. That’s one of the challenges of being a Rangers player. as someone said in the match thread, it’s a non-issue. Everyone raises their game for Scotlands most successful club. We need to be matching them all

Has the ability. Not showing it. Don’t know if he is trying too hard, believing his own press or playing out of position. Needs to keep his head down and play through it. Cut out the nonsense like that dive in the first half. It doesn’t work on the right for now so if he can’t stake a claim more central then bench him but surely he deserves as much of a shot at it as Lammers has been given.

Just how I saw it. Thought Lundstram was neat and tidy and always showing for it. Thought Cifu in the first 30 minutes looked totally lost. Neither were the level we need but of the two I thought Lundstram was better

This has been going on for so long I can’t even remember a different time. We seem to lose an early goal so often and then chase the game. Somehow end up against an inspired keeper who performs heroics. I hope we convert some of chances but I have seen this movie so often. Cantwell is wasted on the right. Number 10 or nowhere. Cifu is miles off it. Shocking defending for both their goal and the Butland save.

Those Stats are poor and anyway stats are irrelevant. Fuck sake, people have eyes and don’t need stats. He is pointlessly getting embroiled in shit that is irrelevant. No clue why he does it. Absolutely delighted they got gubbed last night. The more thrashings they get the better and hopefully have them papped out of Europe altogether. Their misery is welcomed. However. I really struggle to take as much enjoyment from their anguish as long as we continue to lag behind them domestically. Certainly some mirth and merriment at their failure but not yet ready to full on gloat until we are above them In The league and increasing the gap in domestic trophies won again. I am really hopefully that PC will make that happen.
