Shockingly bad footballer.. confuses the fuck out of me how they (Lammers and Dessers) can be so bad and we parted with such significant money for them... I think maybe we should be asking to see Beales bank account ... I genuinely don't think Sandaza was as bad as these two.... certainly Sakala and Colak were better

I don’t even know how it is possible for Lammers and Dessers to be this bad. They genuinely look like 3rd Division levels of bad

I have seen others say it but the reality is that there is no clear candidate that will unite the fans. The only options available to us are going to be a punt. We are not unique in that either. They took a punt with Posticoglu and it worked out. They then got lucky that Rodgers has shot his bolt at the top level and was willing to come back. Any manager that we can afford and attract to Scotland is going to be a has-been or a gamble on potential. Has-beens are rarely going to play modern progressive football, they might galvanise a team but they won’t take us up a level. So it’s really down to “who has the most potential with least risk” invite interviews and see who demonstrates the most character married with an ability to define a footballing philosophy that they have implemented to some degree of success elsewhere. it’s going to be a massive gamble no matter what you do

I actually feel conned. I bought into the scam hook, line and sinker. “Brains behind Gerrard” 🤦‍♂️ The guy is a total imposter and I fell for it and said we should give him what he wants. Even through the summer I genuinely believed he was building a successful squad. Had a few misgivings over Dessers and Lammers but trusted his schtick about flying around personally to make sure these guys all had what it took to handle playing for Rangers. All of it. Every word, was just a big hustle. I now despise him for taking me for a fool and can’t wait until he is gone. I just don’t know who we could attract to fix this clusterfuck.

He believes his own press. Thinks he can take players who have underperformed their whole careers and turn them into world beaters. His whole strategy was “who showed some promise but lost their way, I am the messiah I will turn them around” arrogant, bullshitting double glazing salesman. Full of piss

I just don’t think that is true either. Any manager worth that kind of money would be in one of the bigger leagues with a big transfer kitty. btw I don’t have an answer either. Where Scottish football is now we are picking up scraps from everywhere else. No Rangers fan is going to want a Callum Davidson or Martindale. But we are never going to get a Xavi or Iniesta. I don’t know the answer but I think it’s more likely an up and coming gamble than an established successful modern thinking manager.

Problem is you won’t find a high quality manager prepared to come to Scotland that the fans will fancy. Just won’t happen. That’s why we have had Warburton Caixinha Gerrard and Beale. Decent managers are few and far between and decent managers prepared to come to Scotland are even fewer

Muscat? Knutsen? Lampard? I mean these are all massive gambles and hardly big names. I genuinely haven’t seen a big name mentioned

We all have great views on who it shouldn’t be. But there is literally no good suggestions on who it should be from all the combined football knowledge on here.

This will never happen. At Rangers you get 6 months max. If you are not trending positively then it’s over. Everyone criticises the players but we have better players than every club bar the scum so a decent manager should immediately be able to set us up to win every game except the old firm. After that we should see improvement game over game.

I don’t have a clue who you bring in but the trigger needs pulled. I suspect we will need a caretaker for a while until we can find someone that is interested and capable.

Lots of positives from last night, not least that we go to Eindhoven with a chance of going through. However, it never ceases to amaze what a goal does to paper over cracks. Sima has been absolutely shite since arriving and I see nothing to suggest that will change. Great strike but he should have been hooked before then. We might have scored two if we had started with Danilo or Matondo. We will never know but the goal shouldn’t hide the fact he was piss poor. I will never be able to get behind loan signings. I have tried year after year and the reality is they rarely work out for Rangers long term interest Getting another win over there is a massive ask and Beale will have to get his selection and tactics spot on with every single player bringing their best game if we are going to get to the Champs League.

Although I didn’t think Lammers did well at all, I don’t think our players are the problem. Like you I am concerned about our tactics and our tempo. We started with a high tempo and looked decent, as soon as that tempo dropped we looked shite again. Cantwell was everywhere for those first 20 minutes and looked gassed. I would like to see Cifuentes start alongside Cantwell and Raskin.

Absolutely the OP is over the top. He is prone to emotional over reactions. But that was a shite Swiss team. Missing many of their better players that were reduced to ten men for 35 minutes at Ibrox and we are now going to their gaff with a slender lead. If it was a preseason friendly it would be easier to shrug it off but it’s pretty important and we don’t look like we are gelling quickly enough to stay in the CL

Hard to avoid being negative. A lot of basics not being done well tonight. There was some patches of good play but often ended in an absolutely terrible pass. Lammers Dessers and Danilo miles off the pace. Hopefully it’s teething problems and they will get into a groove when they have settled. Sima looks poor. Feels like we have to have one shite loan every season. Cifuentes looks excellent, Cantwell and Raskin still looking good and dare I say it, I thought Jack brought some stability to the midfield and allowed the other two to play. Souttar and Goldson looked solid. There are positives but honestly I worry about the tempo we play and the lack of incisiveness. The new boys really need to get in the groove quickly

Need to get this out and here is as good as anywhere. The state of the squad is fucking embarrassing. Players that don’t want to be here like Morelos, Kamara, Kent Players that can’t get or stay fit, the likes of Jack, Helander and Souttar Guys with a loser mentality like Lundstram, Goldson and Tav. Guys who have spine and ability but they are just finished like Arfield Davis and McGregor then just non-footballers like Sakala, Matondo, Davies and Wright. We have Raskin and Cantwell who I would keep going forward. And they only just got here. Beale would need to be the worlds greatest magician to sort that mess out not just the worlds greatest manager.

Looking back we really mismanaged our player values. We should have been looking to cash in on Kamara, Morelos and Kent when they were at their peak. Easy saying in hindsight but we have a player trading model and we should be sticking to it. As it is those 3 players who perhaps had a combined value of over 40 million are going to all walk away for nothing and turn in average performances while waiting to do it

Kamara is gone. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the team. He is not signing a contract and is not trying a leg. He downed tools as soon as Gerrard left and slid further backwards when we sold Aribo and Bassey. He is an imposter. I can’t figure Lundstram out at all. He has the ability to be a good player but it’s like he is towing a fucking caravan. He is miles off the pace and it was him that looked the biggest problem today. He was nowhere near any of the other mobs players the whole game. He gave them way too much room. Game just past him by and it was instantly obvious. I couldn’t believe he came out the tunnel for the second half. Raskin should be the first name on the team sheet for the midfield. Until he does something to deserve being dropped. Beale totally fucked it today and I only hope he learns fast
