I've pretty much had no interest in deadline day since our recent lack of activity in the market, especially on deadline day, but today made me enjoy deadline day for the first time in a long time!

If there's a yes vote and Alex Salmond gets his way there will be a monetary union and Scotland will use the Pound but the Bank of England(a foreign bank) will effectively control public spending in an "independent" Scotland can any of the Yes voters on here explain how they feel about this?

what a stinking attitude , if uncertainty is a key factor in anyones vote then so be it but call anyone weak or sad because of it is just bolloks.
when you cross a road do you wait untill the road is clear and you know you can safely cross the road or do you wait till a hgv truck is fast approaching but fuck it you decide to risk it anyway because if your fast enough you might just make it anyway?
Its a smiple aspect of human nature to have fear and uncertainty of the unkonwn and that is what independence is. this " och fuck it , take a risk" mentality amongst yes voters is alarming if anything else.

I hate the very term "legal" and "illegal" when referred to wars. Totally absurd , in my opinion. Do people voting yes really think that the good people of Iraq, Afghanistan etc cared if the United Nations had given a particular legalised title to the bombs being dropped on them. I can't imagine a son or daughter watching their mother's leg being blown off , then suddenly accepting it because it was "legal". War is a filthy business, legal or otherwise, and it does piss me off when this is brought up in the independence debate by the yessers! The stench of desperation is palpable!

It was a need of our forefathers.
Following the formation of Celtic with their very strong Irish and Catholic identity, the indigenous Scot sought a football club which would reflect their own culture and faith.
Rangers became that vehicle and is probably the main reason we emerged as the most successful and supported Scottish club.

    I don't believe you.
If you were genuinely voting on your children's future there's no way you'd be voting yes.
Also, you're lying about "friends admitting they should be voting Yes" but aren't because of rangers.

So the fastest growing economy in the Western world "can't get any worse than it is now"???
So when a currency union is denied and Scotland starts using the pound with no central bank and no lender of last resort, forcing many businesses, especially UK-wide businesses to leave the country, ensuring the economy declines, investment declines, jobs decline and inevitably the Scottish budget declines... how daft will your "well it can't get any worse" comment seem then?
If Scotland votes Yes it will already have a £6bn+ hole in its budget so things will get worse before they improve, if ever. Salmond intends to lower corporation tax also. How will all that be paid for? Public spending would have to be reduced or YOUR taxes would have to be increased.
What would an independent Scotland have done during the banking crisis in 2008? Who would have provided the bailout funds? What would the interest rate have been? Would they have even been bailed out at all?
Who would have saved the Grangemouth oil plant in 2013 had the UK not provided £150m at short notice?
The great thing about being part of a wider union is that if one bit fails, it has many other parts to back it up until the failing bit gets back on its feet. It's like an insurance policy. An independent Scotland wouldn't have that.
Of course the United Kingdom is better together.

Rangers fans supporting the break up of the United Kingdom?
I just don't get it. And I say that as a former Catholic who chose to support Rangers so I totally get the club has a diverse group of fans.
    Anyhoo, I have voted No.
And if you're a No supporter you should make sure you vote too. Don't just hope No wins. Every vote counts.
I HAD to vote. I owed it to my country.

In my opinion I think we're going to have a great season, I also believe that our squad is as strong as its been for three seasons. Don't understand why anyone that supports Rangers can't feel good about our recent signings.
All this merde about playing youngsters and galactico style football whilst plying our trade in Scottish footballs lower leagues is the stuff of fantasy, our only goal was, is to get back through the leagues as quickly as possible.
In our first season in the bottom league we had over 100+ yellow cards and 20+ red cards awarded to opposition teams when playing against Rangers, does anyone really think that its going to be any different this season in the Scottish 1st division FFS, or a team of youngsters playing silky football would be able to cope with that level of physical punishment throughout an entire season!
If KB and KM provide the catalyst that gets us back to the top tier then so be it, just ask yourself this one question, would any of the other teams in our league and the SPFL outwith the dhims have signed them both, I think we all know the answer!
There's a mountain of shite spewed out about our club on a daily basis from people whose only life ambition is to see the death of our club and the continued humiliation of our manager, why any true supporter of our club would give these chunts continued oxygen beats the FCUK out of me.
Our turnover last year was circa 16 million, as a club we need at least 45/50 million to survive and thrive, were not going to get it playing lower league football and the sooner we get back to the top league the better.
Welcome back Boydy, gone smash in the goals and get Ibrox rocking!

At least you could get away from the impatient groans when you left Ibrox in the past. Bit of grumbling at the pub and such, maybe, but there were usually far more positives than negatives. In my 3 decades of supporting, we've never been this much of a discontented bunch of whining wains.

Way to suck the joy out a thread. GG
Considering some of the players signed the last few seasons, and what can all but be counted on from this one. Was it really necessary to go there?
I'm happy to see some bears excited and happier about the coming season mate.
Short term contract on wages within the structure. I can live with this and be happier that those in the stands will get better payback

I think ally is rank and shouldn't be in his job.
But there's not one quote from him, his assistants or anyone at the club. And theres folk on here going raj at him. Folk treating it as fact.

The sad thing is, we were one of the clubs that cared about Hearts. I used to take my boy to see the Hearts when Rangers were not playing. I met a lot of Rangers supporters who done the same.
If they had showed some good will towards us in our hour of need then it would have been reciprocated by us now. Heart 2 years ago acted like turncoats and wished nothing but harm on us, so the good will of Rangers fans has stopped flowing towards Hearts. Hearts have dug this trench and it has turned into their grave.
If a club is its fan base, then Hearts should have realised that some of its fan base were Rangers supporters, who would come and see Hearts as a second team. That part of their fan base now wishes to have nothing to do with them. They brought this on themselves and I think they will not survive it. Hell mend them for acting like Tims.

I always had a soft spot for Hearts growing up and recall the friendly banter at matches, singing same songs etc but times have changed. They bayed for our blood and loved our predicament.I was shocked and saddened by their venom towards our club.
It`s different for us,we are seeking equality in treatment by the SFA.We are not seeking Hearts demise. That would be a sad day.

Being a fair minded person I would normaly agree with that sentiment, but too much mindless kicking and thoughtless, vindictive, sheer bloody mindedness has resulted in a Fanbase that cannot forget the feeding frenzy that resulted from the criminal act of one person. How can we forgive when we have people like turnbull hutton stateing we got what we deserved a week before we meet his team in our biggest game of the year so far.edit: I fully realise that hutton was giving the Football version of the Boxers toe to toe windup, but it stirs up a load of shit.

Scottish football? Is that the same scottish football 2 years ago..I only demand sporting Integrity, nothing more, nothing less. The rules are now set in stone, remember by the clubs who tried to kill us off.
Sorry but Hearts fans stabbed us in the back, maybe they should pick their friends a little better? Maybe now they will learn not to fuck with us ever again?
They go to the wall, it sends a message out to the rest of our enemy's. We have not forgiven or forgotten
