The impression I get is that Warburton's simply decided he made a mistake

Off the park issues are another angle and that's the reason he's going to be away above all else
Our style of play hasn't exactly been that clear this season (albeit things clicked last Saturday), I'm not defending Barton's displays when he played but I wouldn't say he was horrendously worse than everyone else. Kranjcar was written off after the same length of time yet he started to look like he had something to contribute before this injury, some other players have improved since that period as well
It's not a question that'll keep me awake at night we'll move on like we always do, I just don't think we'll ever know what he might have contributed if his Rangers career had gone beyond five games, that's far too short a time to judge

not a hope in hell mate, not a route we will want to go down either as we couldnt afford to lose the court case

How can you say that when we've spent weeks searching for grounds to sack him but to no avail?  He's been very quiet about the situation in public as well

He started the season very badly like everyone else, I'd say its impossible to make a definitive judgement on what he could have offered us on the park as the season went on and the reasons for him going are off the park ones.

End of the day we still don't really know whats gone on, obviously Barton at the very least isn't blameless but it's not as if he's refused to play for us, Warburton and/or the hierarchy have decided he's got no future for whatever reason. He kept his mouth shut about the issue during his initial three week suspension and apparently even went abroad to train but there was still no way back, whatevers happened the club obviously decided it was beyond redemption
None of that is meant as a defence of Barton I just think moaning about him personally taking money is pointless when we chose to give him a two year contract full well knowing the risks

I'm not saying it absolves managers of blame especially if they're asking the board to use a large chunk of the transfer/wage budget, was just saying that managers aren't the ones doing all the negotiations like on FM

True but he maybe took the word of Sean Dyche that Barton was terrific on and off the pitch with no trouble at all, McParland was at Burnley when Barton signed there as well

Negotiating and contracts I'd think, even when managers have the final say the boardroom will be the ones talking to clubs and players about money 

He has talked about having some experience in the squad we tried to sign John Eustace in the championship 
The way he's given up on Barton so quickly makes you wonder but unless we're reliably informed otherwise we can only assume Warburton signed him
