  1. Vanguard Bears - A Circle See, the thing with a circle is, it never ends. However, it only takes one interception to destroy a circle. The horrific subject of child sex abuse in football is again turning the stomachs of law abiding, regular Britons. Regretfully, I must say "again" as any football fan over 30 will remember with disgust as the details of Celtic Youth Coach Jim Torbett's deviant crimes against vibrant, young footballing hopefuls were played out in Court, and to a limited extent, in the Scottish main stream media. Our media, or 'mhedia' as I see them more regularly called, have had an aversion to investigating and reporting without fear nor favour for nearly 20 years on this repugnant crime. It has been noted that this coincides with one Peter Lawwell assuming power in the Club which seems to be at the heart of these claims. To the outsider, one could be forgiven for assuming Celtic FC housed a paedophile ring, with five interconnecting names in the frame already. You would think such heinous crimes, brazenly committed in front of other grown men, people in management and directorial roles, that were subject to Police and court action and briefly appeared in the news, would attract the attention of say, a governing body? Not in Scotland. And it's not even limited to one governing body putting the blinkers on and inserting fingers in ears. First up, and most appallingly, the Scottish government. Then and now, the systematic, and quite possibly organised, rape of young boys isn't worthy of inquiry. Right now, and I do have the utmost sympathy for a child of any creed or colour in need, the Scottish government seems more affected by the plight of kids thousands of miles away than those on our doorstep. How can this be true? Secondly, the Scottish Football Association. Now before you instantly dismiss this shambles of being unable to inquire over anything heavier than the free lunch menu, they are responsible for the well being of all footballers. They have been failing them for decades as this debauchery was allowed to continue as an 'open secret'. Unbelievably, it's been left to a former director, Gordon Smith, to add any relevant comment when on Thursday past he called for root and branch investigation. Utterly sickening. The members of Vanguard Bears are unanimous in voice. We see only one satisfactory outcome. Anyone who subjected our children to sexual or physical abuse while in the care of the football authorities must be tracked down, charged and tried in a court of law. Anyone, employed by any Club, who knew of these crimes and stayed silent allowing the abuse to continue must be tracked down, charged and tried in a court of law. Any Club who were aware of such crimes within their umbrella, and who failed to inform the Police, as well as feeling the full force of the law, must be punished with both severe financial penalties and a stripping of awards gained during the period of criminality. In the most severe cases, cases of multiple offences, dismissal from the league and Association must be considered. This circle of evil must be destroyed.
  2. Well said DV. there were upwards of 300 there at the peak of the demo and probably another 100 transient supporters. I too expected more but hey-ho, at least the Backing Bomb Chuckers know they are being scrutinized now. Superb work and hearfelt thanks to everyone who attended and more importantly, took the time to organise the demo. Every credit.
  3. Even more interesting is how you came to that conclusion? If i was insinuating bears were BAD who hadn't bothered to get off thei arses, i'd have said so. The point i was making was that the GOOD bears who turned up don't need their efforts ridiculing by BEARS who didn't bother.
  4. I actually said to the lads there yesterday that them c*nts would take pictures of the early numbers and make out that's all that attended. They think they're being smart but their actions are totally predictable.
  5. Poor turnout in the context of what? I'd have said 300, probably more if you count the amount of GOOD bears who came and went over the course of the afternoon (Bolton Loyal stayed for an hour and 15 mins), Walsall Loyal also made the effort and got their lads there, whilst folk who only live round the corner decided to stay in the bookies or the boozer. What's the point of mentioning the protest in a negative way for those who attended when loads of people couldn't even be bothered to get off their arses
  6. F*ck me sideways! That's some capitulation even by an IRA supporters standards.
  7. This is probably the worst post I've ever seen on here. I would honestly ban you off RM for that. You talk absolute drivel and IF you know anything of our great club then you disguise it well. If you've got the banning tool out, i've got a few names for you
  8. Any plans to answer me? EDIT: I see that you've mentioned Father's Advice; Daddy's Uniform and #1 Platoon. You are under the impression that these songs are about the Paramilitary group of the later 20th Century rather than the 1912 UVF. Just a few things - can you give me a line in any of those songs which refers to the later paramilitary group? For your case to be sound that would be a minimum. Secondly, while I concede that those are the most popular at games, there are others, more sung in Clubs and on busses, but they do appear at games; usually away and generally sung by small numbers - Englishmans Betrayal comes to mind. The point is there are other songs which are sung which could only be about the original UVF. Why do you assume the worst about your fellow bears? As for Father's Advice: Gusty Spence was 8 in 1941. How can that song possibly be about his version of the UVF? Those are the lyrics to 'Daddy's Uniform' I believe. And if you read them they say 'My memory strays back again....' indicating that he is remembering back to 1941 so it's unlikely that it's about the 1912 U.V.F since his memory is straying back to 1941. Anyway all three of these songs were written during the troubles and, all pedantry aside, I think we both know why. We cant go pointing fingers at Celtic fans for singing about the I.R.A - they use the same excuses, by the way, that they are singing about the original I.R.A - while we still indulge in our own para-military sing-a-longs. Yes we can. The IRA killed BRITISH citizens indiscriminately, the Loyalist Paramilitaries targeted known Republicans (on the whole). The IRA represent a threat to the United Kingdom and as such, anyone promoting them is fair game as far as i'm concerned. What i find astonishing in yours and your silly buddy's posts is the fact that the Paramilitary organisations are somehow equally responsible? One is attacking the good citizens of Ulster and the other defending them. My only conclusion is that you either a) have no empathy at all with our Ulster brethren or b) you are indeed guilty of the accusations levelled against you i.e. a sympathiser.
  9. Picutres Of Players Surfing. That's the best laugh I've had since my Granny fell aff the roof. ...They aren't surf boards, they are bhouggie boards...sorry. I meant boogie boards...Mad as hatters going to Bondi in the middle of Winter as it was only 16 degrees today Brrrrrrrrrrrr. Good to see the boys enjoying themselves as we were at the afternoon training session at 2.30pm and the guys trained real hard. Great team spirit in that group, I can assure you. That's positively tropical for us lot
  10. Three little words which say more about the type of 'man' (i don't have the gall to call you a Bear) you really are. If you're interested in grassing blokes up who are supposed to be your brethren, men who you should be standing shoulder to shoulder with them through thick and thin, then it's you who should fuck right off.
  11. It's Abertawe mate, i think it's the Welsh name for Swansea?
  12. That we sing? The paramilitary songs that still get sung and which have no relevance to everyday life in Ulster anymore never mind at a Scottish football ground. Also the empty-headed, moronic, divisive 'FTP' chants which have died down of late but are slowly creeping back in. Criticism of the Catholic Church is fine but not when it's couched in a frankly bigoted chant. As for The Billy Boys I dont find it offensive as such, I just have no desire to sing about being up to my knees in 'F*nian blood'. People can sing it if they want I'd just rather they didn't. Anyway, time for bed and to rest the brain cells. I'm sure this will still be going tomorrow. Why don't you ask the boys and girls from Ulster what their every day life is like? Posters on VB keep us informed on a daily basis of what is happening in their various communities. Republicans constantly bombarding their homes with whatever comes to hand and the PSNI doing nothing about it, whenever there is an orange march they are pelted by the scum and yet the PSNI do nothing about it, they blockade roads and the Protestant community are wary of what areas to walk in because they know what will happen if they do. You live on cloud cuckoo land if you think that Ulster is all fluffy clouds and lovely beds of roses. You are making assumptions and getting it wrong. And the relevance to Ranges FC, Edminston Drive, Glasgow, Scotland is? NOTHING! I have no idea, mainly because i haven't a clue who Ranges FC are neither do i know where Edminston drive is. I blame the schools.
  13. The trouble is, it's ONE song that gets brought up more than any other, TBB. Them F*nian c*nts cried about it for so often to their taig whoremasters at UEFA that it was inevitable they would get it banned. They knew once it was banned then they could carry on bleating (if we sung it) or laugh their tits off at us because we'd been forced to comply or suffer the consequences. Yet they have a whole songbook of charming ditties, covered by such quaint terminology as 'folk' 'traditional' or 'offensive but not sectarian'. Are you meaning brought up as in sung? Because i dont think TBB is the most sung song that people would consider 'sectarian',although that is probably because its banned but it has been coming back to games. I think we should sing TBB and whatever else we like to be honest because im sick and so are loads of fans of the tims singing their filth about the ira and the rest yet nothing happens to them. Nothing would happen to us if we sung TBB in the SPL anyway. Id like to see TBB come back and sung all the time. Im sick of all the handwringers in our support and that who are almost as bad as the tims and always slate us about the songs we sing, who gives a fuck to be honest
