  1. Thomson was outstanding against hibs 2 weeks ago, and after a very serious injury, looks now like he is starting to get there. When are we going to start giving players a chance to get over injuries like that. lesser characters might never have come back from that injury, given that its the 2nd one he has had in his career. Fantastic performance today from KT
  2. It's presented in Gaelic with English subtitles. Artur Numan will be on it and he is obviously speaking english. tom boyd is on it, and he is obviously talking pish
  3. For those suggesting that we all accepted it and didnt complain, when we were signing Laudrup, Gascoigne et al, can i ask them a question? If they knew where we were heading (the mess we are in right now, and what a serious mess it is) would they have wanted David Murray to spend so recklessly? If we had known where we were heading with his recklessness, then none of us would have supported the spending i would guess! Murray may have been the 'custodian' when Ibrox was 'further'developed, but the Stadium was developed in the first place, as a memorial to the 66 supporters that died in the tragedy, and to ensure that it never happened again. Ibrox was the finest stadium in the UK when murray bought the club.
  4. Oh really! so everyone is a mind reader? What do you know, everyday's a school day! I played the game at a reasonably high enough level to know what im talking about. not at the very top level, but 12 years as a semi-pro. i only mention this because you allude that i dont know what im talking about, which is not the case at all. and whatever way you dress it up, this geezer wanted novo to replace mendes in the centre.
  5. Or Davis into the centre, with Novo, Rothen or Naismith moved around accordingly If you were shouting for something, why would you miss out half of what you were thinking? you would say, get Davis in the centre, and bring novo on for Mendes at least i would if that what i was wanting to see
  6. We desperately need the money that an extended run in europe will bring, so its a no brainer AFAIC. even if its the uefa cup after christmas, then that would still be a bonus
  7. contrast our midfield performance for 55 minutes last night with PM, with our midfields performance on saturday? Do you want us to go with Thomson & McCulloch? We might have been beaten last night, but give me more of what i saw first half please. and in case you have been on the moon recently, we have no fucking money, what are we going to replace him with? McCulloch??????????? the guy behind me was shouting after 20 minutes to get Novo on for Mendes? Novo in central midfield in a champions league match against the 3rd best team in the worlds best league FFS. whilst i know the argument 'you pay your money' yadda yadda, but we have to be the gurniest, whingiest, ungrateful support in the world. we turn on players, management etc at the drop of a hat, no one is safe from the irate Bear these days. Who ever plays will get my support for the entire time they are on the pitch, anything else is actively helping the opposition. When we turn on the players, there heads drop and the opposition gets a lift. I honestly don't know why some people go to Ibrox, if it makes them so unhappy, why bother? the slightest misplaced pass, or mistake the players may make is greeted with howls of derision from the stands, no matter the game or the occasion. The players do not pick themselves!!!!!!!! we don't have a divine right to win anything, and there will always be periods where we are not as good as we want to be, and whilst we all want whats best for The Rangers, we have to accept some situations for what they are, its what makes winning again feel so good. We had not won the title for 4 years until that magic day in may at Tannadice, and it took 5 games from that day, for the support to turn on the players. 5 games grace for delivering our first title in 4 years, unbelievable! i sense that perhaps some of the abuse being directed at PM comes from suporters with some sort of misplaced loyalty to Barry Ferguson, but hey maybe im wrong. A poster on this thread mentioned a Support the players oin the pitch for 90 minutes and give them a lift, and stop behaving like a whining school kid. i do not have my head in the sand, i was aware that up until last night our performances were poor, particularly. in our last 3 games, but i genuinely saw enough last night to see a chink of light at the end of the tunnel. i know its all ifs and ands, but if we had got that penalty last night, which was as blatant as you are likely to see, and Sevilla had been 1-0 down, and the entire 2nd half to go with 10 men, we would have won the game. the players cant be blamed for a clown of a ref. the free kick for their first goal should not have been given, the second (i think?) was from a bye kick that should have been a corner to us. yes we collapsed after going 2-0 down as we chased the game, but thats how thin the margins were last night. if the players can take heart from the good things that i saw last night, and WS plays 4-4-2 then i have a really good feeling for sunday.
  8. the players need us to get behind them, regardless of how they are playing. they dont pick themselves. when things are going badly, that extra lift the players get from having the fans encourage them could be the difference between a win and a draw. moaning & whinging at everything the players do will strip them of their confidence, and they will be scared to touch the ball in case they do something wrong, and incur the wrath of the crowd. Negative support will actively help the opposition. Instead they have to listen to grown men whinge like schoolgirls because thing are not going our way. I do not have my head in the sand, i know that we are not playing well, but yesterday we were without 5 of the players that won the title on the last day of the season, and our squad is not good enoug to cope with losing half a team for any game. it is only 6 games into the season, we are still champions, we are still Scotlands only CL representatives, and we havent lost a game for months. yes we have had 3 poor draws, but that stats add up to some crisis Get behind the team on Tuesday, we could get something if we back them to the hilt, i know i will be
  9. Broadfoot is not good enough He is one paced (ultra slow) has no coordination, has a touch like a blacksmith, and the way he allowed the fat aussie to score in the game at christmas last year, was amateur.
  10. seriously?!?! Broadfoot is the worst right back i have ever seen play for Rangers, and i include hugh burns & Jimmy Nicholl in that Whittaker is a decent player, who suffers from a lack of confidence. he was our best player in the title run-in last season, and by a distance as well. he was also superb in the 2 recent Scotland internationals. He may not be playing all that well right now, but he is far from alone there.
  11. i agree, lets get AH back up the road. would spuds accept milk tokens for him though?
  12. the worst of the lot was today, and that was with only one of the players you mention playing. Mendes has not played in the last game and a half, yet he is being blamed! we saw today how poor we are without him and Davis, particularly at home, when the onus is on us more. our away form has been rubbish for years, with and without the names you mention.
  13. i dont agree, the problem we have is sticking the ball in the net. we rectify that, we start to win games again.
