The debate was never whether or not it was a celtic song though, it was whether or not it was a rebel song, for me there is clear difference!
People asked how context was important and I gave exampled of how context should be relevant, but I am not having that STB/PA arent Rangers songs...
Maybe in other parts of the world but I am pretty sure that anyone with an interest in Scottish football would class them both as Rangers songs.

Admittedly it appears that some on here are far more familiar with rebel songs that I am, I had to look up the lyrics etc to see what the fuss was about, but as far as I can tell the only thing "rebel" about the song is the chants of "oh ah up the Ra"?
As for STB and PA being comparable, people shouting FTP and the IRA/fuck the IRA doesnt make it comparable?

I didnt know it was a rebel song but I could have still sung exactly what is heard/seen in the video, I even know that the next line has something about on the way to paradise or something in it.
I have had celtic supporting mates join in with Simply the best and penny arcade etc for a laugh and at my father in laws 60th he forced me and my brother into  singing that Rod Stewart pish about them, again I didnt know half of the words, but I knew enough to keep him happy.
As others have mentioned its all about context, but him singing a song years before he was even linked with us, or potentially even at Kilmarnock, doesnt bother me in the slightest.

Fair play to folk trying this sort of thing but when the is folk standing talking to a camera inside their house with a hat and jacket on I knew it wasnt for me.

Hi guys, just a quick message to say that I won't be uploading any videos for the foreseeable future.
I have always kept my private life, and that of my familys, exactly that - private.
What I will say though, is that my wife hasn't been keeping great, that's why I've not made many videos this last couple of months or so.
There has been some games recently I haven't even seen, let alone make a video of.
And unfortunately the news we got this week wasn't what we were wanting, so this is just going to intensify.
So all my time, effort and energy will be going towards caring for her for now.
I know some of you like these videos, and are grateful for them, but I hope yous understand.  Who knows, I might post one out of the blue, but they'll be rare for the foreseeable.

Arfield is in position. It’s his job to drift into the centre of the pitch and find pockets of space then Tav gets forward to provide width 

I've seen plenty of this guy playing for Leicester. He is superb at best. Be a very good signing 

Brilliant again. Early doors, but he's sure making me eat my words. Reckon he could be a big player for us this season. His pace is frightening.

The fuck does this come from? Traynor isn’t employed by our club, he’s a subcontractor who’s brought in on request. Maybe have a look at the top brass before posting this shite.

I'll always take pride in the fact I am one of the people that didn't welcome him back, didn't sing his song and didn't clap him on to the field when he appeared. 
I'm delighted he is gone and all he achieved by coming back was further damaging his reputation here
