His production is very good and he'd fit into the system we've been playing recently brilliantly people just want to moan about everything

The amount of threads/posts I have seen saying that he isn't good enough recently has been unreal and I don't understand why...
When he joined us we were all over the place, a terrible team with even worse manager(s), but in 19 games he scored 5 goals and assisted 10, none of our current players that play in a similar position have got anywhere near that! On top of that, when you think that he had only played 6 games (375mins) in just over a year at Brighton it was always going to take him a bit of time to get up to speed ( Look at Davis recently! ) but the return he gave us was very good!
His league debut for us was against Aberdeen, a 2-0 win, and the team was as follows:
    4-2-3-1
    Foderingham
    Tavernier  Martin  Bates  John
    Holt  Goss
    Candeias*  Windass**  Murphy
    Morelos ***
*subbed off for Cardoso **subbed off for Halliday ***subbed off for Cummings
When you look at the wholesale changes in our squad over the summer, for me it would only be fair to suggest that he would kick on playing with better players and again this season in 7 games he had scored 1 goal and assisted 3!
A fit Jamie Murphy is a big threat for us and an important part of our squad! I for one hope he comes back fully fit and would have him starting if he gets through pre-season.

Can’t ply his trade in this country anymore unfortunately.
Opposition players kick him up and down the park, act like he’s murdered them when he throws his weight about and surround the ref anytime he attempts to go in for a challenge.
The media have stereotyped him for the past 18 months as a South American hot head who deserves the tackles, elbows and abuse from opposing players as it’s just winding him up.
The refs have subsequently bought into that pish and literally give fouls against him for absolutely nothing. 5 “fouls” he committed today and 4 weren’t fouls. Then booked for telling the Killie fans to fuck up.
He’ll never accumulate the amount of cards he has in two seasons here in two seasons anywhere else in his career.
He’ll also probably never get sent off another 5 times in his career never mind in the same season.
Hounded out of Scottish football because he’s and incredible talent and plays for Rangers.

I hope we sell him as we need the money to fund additional players but even if I wanted him to stay, his time in Scotland is up!
Three times today he was involved in nothing challenges, one with their GK, and another two with their defenders and before the replay is even shown the pundits are suggesting Morelos has lead with arm, got involved etc...
I understand that them saying that can be taken with a pinch of salt, but if its said often enough it will be common thought between opposition players, refs, linesmen etc.
I havent loved a player as much him for a long time and will be sad to see him go, but thanks for the goals Alfredo and I hope he goes on to score loads!

A few weeks ago a close mate of mines @Mr Sopranouncle passed away suddenly and this left a young boy without a father.
Rangers have found out about this and have issued him with an invite to be their special guest on a tour of the stadium with no cost. Ryan Jack has also hand signed the letter and from.what I hear when these things have been done in the past the player will be there to meet the person they've invited.
So for that young boy that will be immense meeting one of our arguably best and most consistent performers who also scored a winner v them.
It's not much and won't take the boys pain away but what a gesture and when I was shown the letter then hand signed non generic print signature actually give it a pretty sincere feeling.
We get slaughtered for a lot of things but for me that was a pretty moving thing to do for a young boy who'll be feeling pretty lost just now.
    Well done The Rangers 🇬🇧

If you go on RTV you can see his whole interview in full where he talks about how they decide on what players to approach.
Kind of blows out the water the folk that got their knickers in a twist about a DoF buying players with the manager not knowing anything about it.

Interesting to hear him say that he went from following Leeds home and away, really supporting them, to not wanting to play for them because of the chip van incident.
Obviously the circumstances are different and not all players have the same way of thinking, but maybe some food for thought for those that done want us to sign players who supported other teams/rivals as a kid?

At the start of the season people were calling for him and Ejaria to be sent back but I think hes done enough to show he has quality but whether or not he warrants a £5-7-9m price tag...I think its to much for us!
Unless its a loan deal or a bargain transfer, £2-3m, then I dont think we should be breaking the bank for him.

We were controlling the game and had drastically changed 11 that day!
Worral's mistake is the thing that people remember, but Gareth McAuley was awful, his defending for Jordan Jones goal was brutal! Andy Halliday at LB didnt try and take the ball past Chris Burke once, just dumped it back at Worral any time he got the ball...as did Davis!
But even with all that, we still hit the post and missed 2-3 other chances!
I agree with your front 3 though...dont think we should be changing formation or doing anything drastic as this point in the season.

Tough choice but with one player basically at the start of his career and the other at the hard end then, for me, Morelos walks straight back in.

I think that will be the figure we will spend summer, around £10m, maybe more if we sell Morelos and Tav, but it need to go on 3-4 quality players and not 6-7 players like it has in recent seasons.
As for the money spent, the list I put together (which might not be exact) is as follows:
    This season in
    Goldson - £3m
    Barisic - £2.2m
    Katic - £2m
    Grezda - £1.8m
    Murphy - £1m
    Lafferty - £450k
    Total - £10.4m
    This season out
    Windass - £1.3m
    John - £800k
    Total - £2.1m
    Net Spend this season
    £8.3m

    Last Season in
    Pena - £2.7m
    Herrera - £1.5m
    Dorrans - £1.5m
    Cardoso - £1.4m
    Morelos - £1m
    Candeiass - £800k
    Docherty - £600k
    Bruno Alves - £500k
    Total - £10m
    Last season out
    Garner - £1m
    Waghorn - £1m
    McKay - £700k
    Wilson - £300k
    Total - £3m
    Net Spend last season
    £7m
I am not saying the figures are exact but ive taken them from a few different sources (some in pounds, dollars and euros) and I dont think it will be far wrong?

I dont understand why people are so quick to put down our players...
If we are talking purely about footballing ability, any time I have seen Rossiter play he has shown more than enough to suggest that he can play at our level!
The memories I have of him is that he is a box to box midfielder, who is good defensively but can also pick a pass ( I remember him playing 2-3 brilliant slide rule passes between FB and CB) and then going by the Hibs game, he can get into the box and finish well.
There is nothing to lose by giving him a pre-season, see how he goes and take it from there.

When exactly was he "woeful for months on end"? The amount of unsubstantiated shite that gets posted on here at times 😂
Of the 10 months that we have played games in so far this season, Middleton has only made appearances in 7 of them, and even at that there are a few (3 months in total) where has played 1-2 games.
    July 18 - No appearances
    August 18 - 2 Appearances for a total of 25 mins
September 18 - 5 Appearances for a total of 177mins (1 full match vs Ary Utd in Cup) - Scored 3 goals and assisted 1
    October 18 - 4 Appearances for a total of 47mins
    November 18 - 4 Appearances for a total of 343mins (3 full matches) - Scored 2 and assisted 3
    December 18 - 7 Appearances for a total of 388mins (3 full matches) - Assisted 1 goal
    January 19 - No appearances
    February 19 - 1 Appearance for a total of 29 minutes
    March 19 - No appearances
    April 19 - 1 Appearance for a total of 18 minutes
Although you have said he was " Positionally poor, hiding at times, and in the back pocket of any opponent he's been up against." I dont agree with at all! People were raving about how good he was, especially around November/December when he had a prolonged run in the team surrounding the European games. He did have poor games but if you look at those matches in isolation as a team we were awful (Aberdeen at Ibrox 10 men, Livingston Away 1-0, Hibs at Ibrox 1-1) but surely we cant be hold an 18yr old kid in his first season playing with the club responsible for that!!

Gregg Wylde played 48 times for Rangers, scored 2 goals and assisted 13 over a 4 year spell.
Michael Francis played 38 times for Rangers, scored 3 goals and assisted 6 over a 3 year spell.
Glenn Middleton has played 28 times for Rangers, scored 5 goals and assisted 5 in his first season with the club.
Apart from the stats, how anyone can look at Middleton and compare him with those 2 is beyond me...there are obvious comparisions, they are white, play out wide and have dark hair but their style of play is nothing alike.
Wylde had pace and a decent delivery but he was very limited, MOH is even more limited, both relied purely on pace to beat players and were very predictable but for me Middleton is much better on the ball, can pass, beat players and is good with both feet.
