  1. Anyone know any bars that will likely be showings today's game? I'm at the Conquistador so around the Hard Rock cafe kinda area Any tips much appreciated
  2. Rest Easy Goalie You gave us all moments to remember and were the guy we knew would keep them out. Your connection to the support is your true legacy. The benchmark all our keepers are measured against.
  3. Anyone know of any buses running from Torremolinos and back?
  4. Like many on here I've cried many tears today. This man was a giant and epitomised the greatest period of my youth following our club. Thank you for the memories Walter and may, in some small way, your family take some comfort from the outpouring of grief and love from the other family you so selflessly shared him with. Forever "Walter Smiths Blue n White Army"
  5. Rest easy Captain 🔴⚪🔵
  6. Devastated when I seen the headline. Absolute warrior who fought an overwhelming disease with humility, dignity, humour and immeasurable bravery I hope his wee girl will look back at what her dad did to try and stay with her and it inspires and comforts her. Rest easy Fernando A tear is shed and a beer will be raised in your honour this night. Once a Bear. Always a Bear.
  7. Get back on your feet soon wee man
  8. They will never be forgotten. They hold a place in the heart of every Rangers fan that few other clubs will ever be able to understand. Rest In Peace each and every one.
  9. Great display and noticed West Ham doing something very similar. Proud to be a bear when you see the work that goes in from all manner of unsung heroes who give up their own time without fanfare to get the job done. Sterling effort from all involved at every stage. Feel proud that you achieved something truly worthwhile.
  10. Pena wasn't ready but when he does get it he looks keen to play it on deck, link up and run beyond. If (a big if) we can get him lean n fit I think it transforms our midfield tbh Candeias is a good honest worker but up against someone where pace wouldn't be the deciding factor his lack of skill/flair was laid bare. Hodson looked every inch the back up player. First half it was unreal the amount of times he got done by Roberts sadly.
  11. Yeah cos flashing the light on our phones would absolutely show the vermin we mean business.... assuming they are under the mental age of about 12. Really hope you made this suggestion as a joke.
  12. WolfgangFluff has got to be his Porn Star name surely ?
  13. Had to adjust zoom to 90% so I didn't feel like a visually challenged person trying to read On my mobile it's not great as others have said Few tweaks and all will be well.
  14. This wee guy was an absolute lion. Seen Defoe visiting at weekend and I know just how hard that would have been. Thought the reporter pushing him to talk in that presser yesterday was shocking when the boy was in clear distress. Rest iin peace wee fella. In your short life you made a mark and we don't all get to say that.
  15. This is a nightmare. Could be any of us really. Rest In Peace to the bear who has lost his life. Hope the club and fans come together and look after that tamily. Heartbreaking
  16. Nephew attends Preston Games and is sadly a tarrier but was telling me Garner will be superb up here. Compared him to Hooper in that if we get him chances he'll bury them. Went as far to say stick money on him to be top scorer.
  17. Regardless of ur views on Tav I think it's just been refreshing to see us, as a club, getting players sorted out quickly and efficiently despite the media attempts to make it sound like players want to go etc We've seen Halliday, Barry, Wallace, Tav etc all tied down and no longer able to be taken on the cheap. Even pre Whyte n Green etc we were bad for not sorting contracts and undervaluing players thus losing them cheaply in too many cases. We've fixed that so well played the board for getting that rightly back on track. We need to be showing the young potential stars we target that if you come here, do a shift and respect the Jersey then Rangers can and will look after you.
  18. This was the part that jumped out for me as a sign we finally understand what is needed to be a successful and sustainable club.. 'Each player is an individual project. We must ensure that the challenges our players face are at the correct level at the correct time in order to change the normal pathway experienced by young Scottish players. By making decisions in the interests of the player we may negatively impact on the results of some of our Academy teams. That does not matter – producing players for the first team is the only objective of the Academy. The only team that must win is the first team' Superb stuff.
  19. A good mate goes to the Accy games and saud he is definitely not a defender. He slotted in the odd gane cos of his strength but he raves about him as a midfielder. There failure to clinch automatic promotion and lose in the play off was solely doen to Crooks injury. He, much more than Windass, was the heartbeat of the side and apparently bossed games. Got high hopes for the big fella.
  20. Crooks was in a protective boot last week after a spot of minor surgery. He was waving goodbye to the Accy fans at the weekend so he is 100% in recovery mode for our preseason start.
  21. We can't really go wrong with this deal. At 250k if he fails it was a punt worth taking. If he develops into a good SPL player then good value is had. If he develops the way a sizeable portion of the Liverpool fans think? Then we get 2 great seasons and cash in for serious money because if he were to break into England U21 on regular basis the mobs down there would think nothing of £12m+ easy. Excellent singing strategy regardless. Welcome to the mighty Rangers young Jordan. Look after that jersey and we'll look after you.
  22. I think the core of our squad are safe in this window as Championship clubs, in the main, won't gamble on a player who has been playing 2nd Tier Scottish Football no matter how good we know they are. I am also confident none of our guys would entertain League One. However, if we start ripping arses next season we can expect bids in January defo On a related point, I have a concern over this £3.5m buy out clause in Windass contract though because I feel we have almost flagged what we see as an acceptable level.
  23. For the supporters of an expanded set up (including many within our own club) it is probably now or never The appetite of tv and sponsors will be what ultimately decides no matter what hysteria/paranoia is spouted. Personally i think an 18 team setup will kill more than a third of the current clubs and will represent a point of no return level gamble.
  24. My mate's wee lad has been suffering from an ear infection recently resulting in a wee NHS24 effort and a prescription. He nips up Glasgow Fort tonight and is standing in queue with the wee man sitting with his mum obviously in a bit of distress. Guy sitting waiting starts chatting to her and asking the wee fella if he's better and what he likes etc to distract him Goes away and comes back minutes later with Avengers toys for the wee man. A brilliant gesture by anyone at best of times but a wee touch of class imho Not Nickys biggest fan but bloody well played sir
