Butland could be great. The mistakes concern me because we need to win almost every game and all it takes is a few to be the difference. But there’s a reason he won a couple of player of the year awards at Stoke, played for England, and has played in the premier league. Should be an upgrade over McGregor at least so it’s a move in the right direction.

Can’t see too many of their current squad fitting well in a David Moyes team

Having someone who can play as a target man isn’t a problem. Could be effective for us. But knocking the ball behind for Matondo and Sakala to run on to doesn’t fill me with confidence

Would rather it wasn’t Rodgers. Think he’s a good manager. Not sure how he’d work with the Japanese contingent, though.

We played against Robertson when he was at Queen’s Park and McGinn went from St Mirren to Hibs. Not saying we would have competed with Hull or Villa at the time but we had opportunities

They’re scum fans but I’m sure we could have got Robertson and McGinn before they moved to England if we really wanted.
