  1. Just a wee note to say thanks for the help about parking. Got a wee spot on dumbreck rd facing the bowling club. The only bollocks was we had to leave on 70 mins to make the boat home as there were roadworks closing the a77 from Girvan to cairnryan. Fucking 60 mile detour! Anyway the wee man had a great time at ibrox. Was quite overwhelming for him. The rockets protesting outside the megastore didn't make things easy when trying to get in to the child a kit and a wee teddy bear. But how do you tell a 5 yr old he's not getting any memorabilia at his 1st match?! Fucking shambles. To be fair the megastore security guys were top notch and brought us round to get in through the exit door at side. Also the 2nd cannon shot after minute silence scared the shite outta him and he burst out crying!! But he's only just turned 5. Other than that it was great day. Made me so fucking proud to have him at his 1st match, especially on remembrance weekend. The forces are a credit to our country, and our club are a credit I remembering them. Again Rangers leading the way with honouring our fallen, and those still participating.
  2. Thanks lads. Much appreciated.
  3. Any ones in particular? We normally get to Glasgow pretty early with supportrs ckub and use supporters bus at YCV club. So not much knowledge of ibrox surrounding area over the bridge ?
  4. Hi lads. I've been a member for a while but rarely post. Just spectate. Anyway, I'm taking my 5 year old to his 1st match on 7th Nov vs Alloa. But I'm driving myself instead of supporters bus. Mainly so the bambino can a wee kip after an early start. Can anyone be kind enough to let me know where is best to park around Ibrox to get away quickly after match to make boat at Cairnryan?

  6. The events of the past 10 months or so have been mind fucking to say the least. Loads of debates / opinions on how we got in this state or who got us there. No matter how, by who, or why we are here it has been a wake up call. But looking over the past events, the reaction by Ally in particular and the support at the game last week - I have realised more than ever just how much the Rangers mean to me. It really is an institution. Or is it just me.........................?
  7. By no means am I trying to say that any of the accusations thrown at Whyte are true, but does anyone else think there may be something going on with him (albeit a few years ago). "No smoke without fire" and all that shite? I'm just starting to get a bit wary of the whole situation. I mean I am defo on Whyte's side. Without him things would be much more bleak. But maybe I'm just being paranoid. Wish someone was able to clarify the whole situation!! Fuck - just realised I'm starting to sound like a tim with all this paranoia!!!
  8. My thoughts exactly. Think some on here are interpreting it wrongly.
  9. Apparently we're talking with west ham. no bid yet.......
  10. For the last 4 months i have decided not to sign in to this forum and watch from afar. On many occasions i have been accused of being a tinposter etc etc. Now from my observations a lot of the folk on this forum need 2b ashamed of themselves. A lot do not attend the games but have much 2say, a lot do not get behind the team in thick & thin, & a lot just don't know. Being a ranger is more than one result. Ok we got beat by r biggest rival. Season over?? I think not. Ally beyond his depth??? Well bar 4 or 5 signings its the same squad as previous manager. Media & pundits against us???? Wot i'm tryin 2 say is wind ur fuckin neck in. We are THE RANGERS. We follow on. Get behind the team no mattet what and when may comes then start the grumbling. To be honest i'm ashamed 2b associated with some BEARS on here. I will always follow. And this is comin from a season ticket holder from belfast (no points tryin 2b gained) who will make every sacrifice 2make sure my team wins.
  11. I agree. When Weir got injured I really thought someone else could step in and make the position their own. But no-one has really been totally commanding. Bocanegra has played 2 matches - hard to judge, Bartley is injured - hard to judge, Goian looks assured, Perry has done himself proud, Broadfoot - well he's just Broadfoot!! I really think we missed Weir's leadership and organisation over the last few matches. On another note. I'm still trying to remain upbeat for this season and beyond. OK it's not the greatest start in the world but give Ally et al a bit of time to shape his own team with his own philosophy.
  12. Agree totally with the OP. But I think Jelavic looks really out of sorts at the minute. Not sure why. Confidence? Fitness? Players let Ally down big time - no excuses. Ally can only do so much for the team once the game has started. On the subject of Davis being Captain - i've got mixed feelings. His play leads by example - others should strive to meet his standards. But on the otherhand he is not as vocal as previous captains. Really depends what you want in your captain. But personally I think the captain job is not as important nowadays. Any player on the park should be able to step up and make decisions that they see fit.
  13. Good point well put. But as previously mentioned he does regularly seem to call for the ball straight from Shagger. Personally I would prefer it built up from the back and played in to his feet as he's much more comfortable and productive with ball at feet. The long punt hasn't worked well for a few years now. Hateley / McCoist used it to great effect years back - but Hateley was winning more than he lost in the air. And McCoist was always a winning runner beyond him. I think I remember a quote from McCoist saying that Hatetley guaranteed him 10 goals a season with his flick-ons. Maybe Prso / Novo did it to good effect for a while as well. Totally agree with you though. It does give posession straight back to opposition too often. I think a lot has to do with the lack or real passing quality in our back line. I've noticed Davis drop back deep a fair number ofg times this season trying to instigate some passing - but he's more effective higher up pitch I think.
