  1. At least on Friday there is work during the day to keep you preoccupied. You've obviously not spent both Saturday and Sunday afternoon shopping with the missus!
  2. Bit of a debate as to where is best for seeing the game in town tonight? There's the added hinderance of the fact that the game is only being shown on BT Sports. So the pub needs to be Rangers-friendly or 'neutral' and has BT Sports.
  3. Very important that these events are remembered. As for the first day of the Battle of the Somme, I think it was 20,000 of the 60,000 British casualties that perished. In total there was a whopping 420,000 casualties amongst the British commonwealth soldiers, of which 96,000 died at the Somme.
  4. You might want to rid your signature of a photograph that contains some of the culprits then!
  5. Davy Wilson joined in with a kickabout we were having in the local park when I was a wean. I was in goal for a penalty he scored against me. He ran up as if he was going to strike the ball with his left foot and struck it with the outside of his right foot instead (I dare anyone to try that on a 5-a-sides park or likewise, it's difficult!). He scored and the lads all laughed. Then he told us, "I've taken a penalties like that in competitive games before and scored... twice!" Absolute gent and, of course, a true blue!
  6. Sandaza was an idiot. He shouldn't have done what he did. But it's common practice in football. Even amongst our own. I've heard stories in the past of Coisty phoning up players on Christmas Day to 'wish them a Merry Christmas'. That was definitely the case with a certain ex-Dundee United youngster who now plays down south. Fran's not had it easy since signing for us. In fact he's been woeful. But we all make mistakes. I'd gladly see him back playing for Rangers again. Tommy, on the other hand, you're in soapy bubble!
  7. Good manager; won 2 league titles and 5 cups (including a treble), got us to the last 16 of the Champions League. Managed to bring Birmingham straight back to the Premiership (not easy), and won the Carling Cup. Not to mention a competitive stint as Scotland manager. Reckon if he's given time he'll bring Forest up to the Prem. Will be keeping an eye on their results.
  8. Any room on the bus for Annan? Looking for 3 spaces: already have tickets for the game. Not returning on the bus as staying with a friend in Dumfries. P.S. Presume this is Queens Street, Glasgow? Sorry but I'm new to this malarky!
  9. I don't mind if it's at Celtic Park. I remember thoroughly enjoying winning there in 1999 and when Hampden was being refurbished
  10. He'd be a cracking signing for us. I follow Greek football due to my own Greek heritage and know Kafes well. He's far too good for div3. Really can't see him signing for us to be perfectly honest. There isn't any reputable sources reporting it and the people I know in Greece seem to think it's bullshit.
  11. I'd welcome him back with opened arms. Time to come home Boydy
  12. Seen Big Marv playing today for Kirky Robroy v Pollok, 1-0 Rabs. Andrews was tremendous, won everything in the air, and then some!
  13. Aye very good. Hence why you're not involved at the club. We do things with class, not with the thuggery that you desire! WATP
  14. About 7 or 8 years ago he joined in with me and the boys for a kickabout in Auldhouse Park. Still had it despite his years!
  15. Well Whyte pulled the wool over our eyes. Put in more transfer bids in one transfer window than I can remember in years. But not much to show for it. Then on the last day of the window we lose 4 squad players. I for one certainly feel short changed.
