Someone may correct me but that’s bigger than any margin of defeat under Gerrard already? A few things: 1) if Gio doesn’t win the league, the party’s over for me. 4 points clear when he came in - now 1 behind. 2) this is what happens when you spend next to nothing in 2 transfer windows. 3) The football under GVB has been for the most part fucking awful. I didn’t see the Hearts game but we were lucky vs Livi & Dundee Utd at home. Hibs away as well. That has papered over some huge cracks 4) too many imposters at the club and so much deadwood it is unbelievable. Everyone on here was laughing at some of their signings, ours have been atrocious in comparison. 5) Gerrard leaving has had a massive negative effect on us. Despite his faults, I’ve yet to see anything that suggests GVB is an upgrade.

Seems to be in a bit of bother. His mrs has put up some recordings of him seemingly being aggressive to her after she refused to have sex, and some images of alleged assaults on her including bruises and a busted mouth. If they are missing Kyogo as well (which seems likely) it can only help us. I’d certainly rather these 2 along with Jota aren’t anywhere near the squad on Feb 2!

Villa are a decent club, but I’d like to think we/celtic are still a more attractive prospect than a Burnley/Watford etc where relegation is a huge possibility, and I’d even stretch us as far as saying us/celtic are more attractive than Villa. Appreciate the level of course, and maybe if a club which is a top 4 contender in Germany came in for him at the time I could understand him moving on but I don’t think finishing 8th for next couple of seasons will get him the Liverpool job in comparison to winning maybe 3x titles in a row and doing decent in the CL with us.

That’s a disgrace from Trezeguet. Still don’t understand the SG departure. Saying he thrives on pressure, winning trophies etc. Villa have just lost to a promoted team and there will be nothing much more said about it - compare that to us when we lost to Livi under Gerrard in his first season. Not even going to discuss winning trophies as Villa realistically can’t win anything of note (unless they get relegated and they are in the Championship). Probably they will finish around 8th - 12th but if they finish 14th again not much would probably be said - compare that to us if we aren’t 1st. Don’t hold sour grapes as think GVB can be an upgrade and it banked us an extra £5 million - but yeah just can’t explain it from his side.

I know there is the old saying of ‘taking each game as it comes’ but we should get through Dundee at the weekend especially with it being at home. If we win at Tynecastle that will be huge, with 3 very winnable home games thereafter then Sheep/celtic away. We could probably afford to draw one of those and win the other and be in a very healthy position going into January and negotiating our toughest run of fixtures we will have all season whilst celtic will go into their cycle again of going away to us, Hearts, Hibs, Livi etc

These games away to the likes of Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen are just as important as the OF games. Massive 3 points, hopefully Hearts do us a favour tomorrow night

Either they are really fucked off about how sneaky a move it was to go to Villa or he may have lost a portion of the dressing room with some post match reactions this year. It definitely hasn’t been a happy camp so far this season

Gonna be a long season. 1) Teams have worked out how to play us 2) Poor recruitment despite being promised “we will fix the roof when the sun is shining” 3) players riding on the league success of the last year when we bombed out of 2 cup competitions which were seemingly handed to us on a plate.

Respect the opposition in this instance as they are a step up from what we will play domestically but too many players are underperforming so far this season. Not sure if it’s resting on the laurels of last season or a few players have had their heads turned in the summer, or teams have worked out how to play against us. If our supply is cut from out wide we don’t seem that capable of opening up well organised teams which is a worry. Need to get this sorted ASAP for the league as celtic likely won’t be as patchy form wise for the whole season as they’ve been

We don’t look up for this at all. Just hope this squad don’t think it’s ‘job done’ after last season and a bit of complacency seeping in after what’s happening at celtic.
