  1. You been reading the David Murray how to run a club guide! Come on man this is not eBay it's about building a brand by being related to another world wide brand! And yes this requires marketing and work something Murray was not interested in doing!
  2. I was also in the east stand and heard them lassies! They had sung all game but in the second half when they started to sing "am rangers till I die........." A boy shouted beside me "well fuckin die" which was done tongue in cheek! I found it quite funny as they singing voices was as high pitched as someone dragging their nails across a blackboard while chewing tinfoil'
  3. People, Sport Direct have moved into the shop and now the website is under construction........ Hopefully this is the start of branding and marketing our club merchandising to the highest standard possible!!! We are light years behind other/smaller clubs we should be selling shirts alone worldwide.
  4. Call me deluded but I thought someone would have saved us. Yes it does not make good buisness sense to buy Rangers however I thought there would have been a ranger out there to save the day. Our balance sheet is terrible and this is due to Murray treating us like a toy and being sloppy and creating that big of mess he passed it on without of a second thought to a con man dressed in a suit. I feel sick just sick tonight its finally sinking in. It's like a serious football injury you have the initial adrenaline that gets you through the first hurdle but then it sinks in that you have a long way to go and you have doubts that you will ever be the same. Only saving grace is that we have great working class supporters that will stick together through thick and thin and am proud to be with you all. So the long rehab process has started there will be up and down but one thing is for sure in 2, 5, 10 and 20 years time we will still be Rangers fans!
  5. Crazy usually this topic gets weeks and months of coverage and this year we get one days notice!!!
  6. Wee Chick on BBC Radio saying that Tam Cowan was asking if Walter Smith would be paying in today to see the game. Chick stated that Sir Walter bought three season tickets as soon as he left lat season. Legend!!!! Actions speak larger than words, the man's blood is blue.
  7. I was surprised he was not linked with the English job also. Not as a front runner but at least an outsider!!!
  8. Right Folks, Last set of accounts End of Year 30th of June 2011 stated the following:- Highlights * No longer reliant on bank funding * Turnover at GBP57.2m for 2010/11 was an overall increase of GBP0.9m over the Previous year * Gate receipts and hospitality sales increased overall by GBP1.3m to GBP27.1m Unaudited Consolidated Profit & Loss Account for the year ended 30 June 2011 2011 2010 GBP'000 GBP'000 Turnover 57,183 56,287 Net operating expenses (47,525) (43,856) Trading profit / (loss) 9,658 12,431 Amortisation of player registrations (8,412) (7,339) Operating profit / (loss) 1,246 5,092 Exceptional items: Gain on disposal of player registrations 4,202 512 Taxation of Discount Option Scheme (3,270) - Profit / (loss) before interest and taxation 2,178 5,604 Interest payable (2,102) (1,395) Profit / (loss) on ordinary activities before 76 4,209 Taxation Taxation - - Profit for the year 76 4,209 Basic and diluted earnings per share 0.07p 3.87p So if you assume that we have basically broken even and since then, not including the following:- 1/ Sold Players. (£6 Million) 2/ Debt Paid off by CW own money. (£14-18 Million) 3/ Season Tickets Deal with Tickets Reus. (Or whatever they are called) (In excess of £20 Million) 4/ Renewed contracts of our top players. (You can offset this against the money generated from player sales) (-£6 Million) 5/ Money spent on Ibrox as reported. (-£5 Million) 6/ Not paid a penny of Tax (£9 Million) 7/ Money to be spent on new players from CW (£5 Million) So unless there has been a drastic change to the way the club as been run over the last 6-8 months what have we spent the money on? For the last three years of Murray's Leadership the club made significant cutbacks in all departments to make the club more appealing for any buyer and to handle the debt to Lloyds so I can’t see how our Income could be lower than our Costs especially being so called Debt Free. Fair enough we had this black cloud of the Tax Investigation hanging over us which could be anything from £39 to £75 Million but it has not been issued yet. I am no accountant and I have used approx figures but were has this money gone? The heart of this club has been kept in the dark for too long and I for one am fed up with this smoke and mirrors charade. There are questions about the money to be answered but why tell the fans lies about having offers in for 5 players in August, will fight the Tax Case to the end, Jelavic was unhappy so had to be sold, the list goes on and is no different than Mr Murray and Co’s reign just lies, lies and more lies we have been played like a cheap fiddle. Mr Murray and Mr Whyte you failed to read the memo:- The streets be broad and narrow But the true fans will continue to follow Your like will come and go But me and my wee pal Joe Will encounter trouble and strife But are signed up for life! No Surrender
  9. Aye Whyte managed to get the players and management ex farmers 4x4's. He is the man.
  10. I have been quiet (been reading but not posting) on this site for several months waiting for us to finally wake up and smell the roses. If you stand since Wednesday and look into the mirror and say "I can't believe we have lost a 15 point lead...." well we have and it should not come as a shock. Our early season away form flattered and deceived most blue noses and gave us a over hyped lead in the table however I was never convinced and was concerned from our very first home game against Hearts. We lacked creativity and width last season and also pace at the back, we started the season with several new faces but the same old problems. This is my take on why its went wrong and my opinion and constructive criticism on the current first team squad. Goalkeeper The Shagger has made mistakes but in games we have won so its hard to criticise however he has shown no improvement in coming for cross balls and we have lost to many goals from set pieces. General Overview we have the best goalie in the league we will however need him at his best for the rest of the season. Defence Yes we brought in Goian (loves to be pulled out of position then has no pace to cover) and also Boca who is Weir but ten years younger but Weir was playing English Premier League at that age. This has resulted in us playing a deep line again that results in our midfield playing deeper and 40 yards from our forward line. When we do try and play a high line we suddenly become picked off with the easy ball in behind. Whittaker has been shocking and his sending off in Sweden has summed up his season posted missing for majority of games. We have also played most games with two left backs Papac and Wallace well am sorry none of them are fit to play in midfield they lack pace and the creativity and they play left back for that very reason. General Overview we don't have the cash to waste money on any more defenders we will have to stick with what we have. I would bring back Weir into the starting line up and make him Captain yes a backward step for some but I think he would tighten up the defence. Why don't we sell Broadfoat and give McMillan a chance if Whittaker's injured this would also free up a wage and give some extra transfer funds. Midfield We bought several midfielders in the pre season an am afraid all have shown nothing in the appearances they have made and the lack of game time show they have shown nothing to the coaching team in training to suggest otherwise. I don't like to judge a book by its cover but it looks like there is nothing to read with Bedoya, Mackay and Ortiz at the end of the day they are a glorified flyer and were bought to increase squad numbers not quality. That leaves us with the same old guys as last season, Edu, Davis, Jig, and Wylde yes they were great in the title run in last year however they have been average this year and have not reached near the heights of last season. Edu and Jig are there to do the dirty work yes they don't always look pretty but until you play against them you will never appreciate them however do we need to play with two of these kinds of players in the SPL. This brings me to Davis, this man has gone missing from last season, he was giving the Captain's armband at the start of the season and it looks like the pressure has got to him and the reason why Sir Walter played him wide has become evident, he goes missing to often to be a regular starter in the middle of midfield. General Overview we need something different especially with Naisy out for the season. Hutton and Ness (when fit) were good enough last season in big games play them so giving them starts or loan them out to decent English Division 1 teams and the same goes for Fleck. We need to buy or loan however we need quality not quantity here, give the fans some sort of marque signing. Sir Walter managed to do it with Mendes and Davis there must be a player out there struggling for games with a big club that we can loan to breathe life into our title bid. One I thought about is Niko Kranjcar from Tottenham? Also if the coaching staff don't believe in or think the dead wood can improve get rid. Forward Jela form has resembled the teams form but we have to ask ourselves do we get rid now and buy or wait until the summer? He is going to go now or then thats for sure as there is no smoke without fire with the media reports. I just hope we don't sell him on the 31st and we have no time to replace. General Overview if we have some money to spend keep Jela to the summer if not sell quick and buy replacement's quick and use the rest for a creativity midfielder. Missing Link Naismith yes we are suddenly finding out how big a part he played in our team with his work ethic, his ability to link midfield with the forwards and his scoring of big goals at big times. Just my opinions however I welcome everybody's thoughts.............. No surrender
  11. He goes missing in the middle and is too lightweight thats why he was played wide by Sir Walter.
  12. Conned is into the last 16
  13. KC and the Sunshine Band Na nas na na Celtic give it up!!! Give it up!!! Simple, catchy and you only need the horus to drum into the tattie munchers!!
  14. All 3 aye right weir got ripped a new arsehole for the first everybody stopped to play offside for the second school boyish and macgregors fault for third due to his position but the game was over. Didn't matter a fook!
  15. Agree with your thoughts on Davis he has been poor all season. It does not help how deep we play due to weir's lack of pace. Fuck as soon as they went down to 10 we should have penned them in but we sat back and let them back in.
  16. That boy is a ticking time bomb would fight with his own shadow. Would be a bad move I think
  17. Hurlock would eat him for breakfast
