Rangers Ruined Shiels Career
CaptainofIndustry replied to bombaybadboy08's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
There's a typo in the the thread title. The first word is correctly spelled "McCoist". -
Newcastle Lads To Play Every Game
CaptainofIndustry replied to PrsosPonytail's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
No Rangers manager should be told which team to pick. Then again, McDowall is no Rangers manager. We desperately need all 5 players and more besides but McDowall has to step up and do his job or else do the right thing. -
Jig had no choice, he had to be nice to Commons. His big pal Mark Guidi would have been furious with Jig if he hadn't been friendly to wee Kris. The Rangers captain laughing and joking with a Celtic player straight after he scores against us in a semi final. I really have seen it all now.

***the Official Rangers V Hertz Thread***
CaptainofIndustry replied to MacBoyd's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I agree. The more I see the same team playing exactly the same way post-Ally, the more I question what McCoist actually did. It looks to me like McDowall selected the team & the tactics while Ally told the jokes. -
Sarver Makes Improved Offer
CaptainofIndustry replied to WilliamCahill91's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
So Sarver is offering to invest £20 in new shares, 25% more than King claimed to offer. The UOF must surely make a statement insisting the board accept this offer. Am I right?? -
Ian Cathro Linked With Rangers Job

That's exactly what we did when we appointed McCoist... -
Ian Cathro Linked With Rangers Job
CaptainofIndustry replied to milleniummanp7's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Completely agree that this is the type of managerial appointment we urgently need. The disgraceful Old Boys network at Rangers has to end, now and for ever. -
I Think I Met Bp9 In The Louden Yesterday...
CaptainofIndustry replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
----------------------------------- Oh I don't know. I'm sure he could land a job as a costumed mascot pre-game. -
Now a certain tweet from a few weeks back makes perfect sense.

Macleod officially signs for brentford
CaptainofIndustry replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
------------------------------------ OK mate. -
Macleod officially signs for brentford
CaptainofIndustry replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
xxx xxx xxx xxx From what I've read, work is yet to start on the 20k capacity new ground. A rich owner and a new ground is no guarantee of success, the Championship is full of teams with similar stories. I'm not dissing Brentford here. I'm pointing out that Lewis has just moved to a far smaller club than Rangers. -
Macleod officially signs for brentford
CaptainofIndustry replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx I'm gutted and worried at his departure, mate. He's our standout player and it looks like Ashley couldn't get him out the door fast enough. Very concerning indeed. Excellent stats, well put together. -
Macleod officially signs for brentford

That is almost inversely proportionate to the "Jig stats" which I used to post on FF, until the threads were immediately chopped. -
Macleod officially signs for brentford
CaptainofIndustry replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
xxx xxx xxx That's right. And as I said, beyond this season they will struggle to stay in the division. -
Macleod officially signs for brentford
CaptainofIndustry replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Brentford's ground is about as impressive as Dunfermline's. Good luck to LM but he's just left one of the world's great football clubs to sign for a team who will struggle to stay out of the English 3rd tier beyond this season. -
how did McCoist get the job in the first place?
CaptainofIndustry replied to pcbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
xxx xxx xxx Spot on. McCoist's appointment as manager was Bain's final act of defiance and a "fuck you" gesture to Whyte, the guy who Bain knew was about to fire him. It was a disastrous appointment which should never have happened. -
You mean they didn't have a pre-season? Witchcraft!!
-
I've said much the same since Advocaat left. The management team is absolutely crucial. I demand we have the best candidates in place to manage the team, whereas I couldn't give two fucks who the FD is. That's why I can't identify with fan chiefs who take the exact opposite stance.
-
I'm sure that's exactly what they'd tell you they seek but am I alone in seeing the inherent contradiction between "concerned fans" shrieking that we need Rangers men on the board, while stating they cannot think of a single Rangers tradition?
-
Many of or problems stem from those within the support who seek positions of influence and power while telling us that as a club, we have no values or traditions. I cannot see what these people seek, other than our demise as an empowered support.

next game - team picks itself
CaptainofIndustry replied to raging blue 1972's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Funny you should say that. As recently as a year ago, Ally was allegedly in the habit of phoning Walter 5 times a day. -
Story I heard is the reason his salary cut took so long to be actioned is he and his adviser insisted on a 3 year contract extension before he would sign up to any salary reduction. The board dug their heels in and eventually the one year rolling contract was agreed as a compromise. I think he wants his payoff, guys.
-
Excellent point. I am convinced this group of players is good enough. They just lack professional coaching and they were never going to receive it under McCoist. Can McDowall and Durie provide what we desperately need?

:-) Hibs v Rangers kicked off at Easter Road at 12:15 and finished at approx 14:05. Glasgow v Edinburgh kicked off at Scotstoun at 14:40. Anyone attending both games would require a helicopter.

The Glasgow v Edinburgh game was played at Scotstoun, for the sake of accuracy.
