  1. So sad to hear. A fellow bear passing. I sit in the Govan front and did not know anything about this until I got home and am feeling guilty that a brother was dying whilst I enjoyed the game. Rab I did not know you but my prayers tonight are with your family and I would also like to commend the behaviour of the BF1 and indeed all those who realised what was going on. We truly are a tight knit and caring family. Rab RIP a good bear gone
  2. Happy new year to all bears everywhere. When the time comes I ask you to spare a thought for our brave troops (whether bears or not ) who are fighting for our great country. All the best
  3. Thanks for all your replies, sad news that Billy isn't keeping in the best of health.Hope he gets well enough to return to Ibrox one day.My memory of Billy will always be with him wearing his Rangers tie and his blazer with the Northern Ireland badge. A class act indeed.
  4. Hope hes ok also met Johnny and Billy a few times, a couple of true gentlemen.Hopefully someone will know
  5. Just come in and clocked the bass drum skin. Then the camera pans to Neil Lennon. Says to the wife get that off now or I'm out of here.Anybody got a billet for tonight
  6. Noticed today Billy wasn't on the park at half time, usually him and Johnny Hubbard attend these things together. does anyone know if Billy is ill.
  7. Sandy, I've been supporting the Rangers for over 50 years now and I remember well you playing for us (in my opinion the best right back we ever had) You never let us down then and I know you won't let us down now. Beat this horrible disease and come back where you belong. From my seat I can see you at the tunnel on match days and I hope and pray you will be there for many years to come. Get well soon
  8. Thanks all you boys and girls and thanks also to the ones who are still on deployment, may each and every one of them come home safely. I am nearly 60 and not ashamed to say i was bubbling like a wee lassie yesterday. Each and every one a hero
  9. So very very sad, a young life torn away by this terrible disease. Michelle set up a trust to help fight this hellish disease. I wonder if anyone could set something up or post a link to enable bears to make a donation. I know my fellow bears would dig deep as we have always came to the fore when called. I would do it myself but I really don't know where to start. Please please do this in memory of a very brave young lady
  10. Never in any doubt. I never chose to be a Rangers supporter. I was chosen. Therefore I can't chose not to be a Rangers supporter. Been going to Ibrox for nearly 50 years so to late to change now.
  11. An E mail my brother in law sent to Nicola Sturgeon and her reply MS Nicola Sturgeon, Barely a week goes past in First Minister's Question Time without so me MSP - to their credit - raising their concern at businesses in their constituencies experiencing difficulties or facing closure with consequential loss of jobs and its impact in the economy of the local community. The usual response from Mr Salmond, or yourself, is that the Government is doing everything possible to limit the damage and were arranging to meet the parties to attempt reconciliation in an attempt to keep the business open and save as many jobs as possible and lessen the the effect on the local economy. I believe within your constituency their is a Company, Glasgow Rangers, which for some time now, has been experiencing financial difficulties in attempting to continue functioning while at the same time trying to save jobs, not only within the Company but also the jobs of many ancillary businesses in the immediate and wider community of Scotland. I have been wating for many months to hear you raise the issue in Holyrood. Nor do I recall you expressing any great concern regarding the effect this will have on your constituents. I write as a FORMER (as from today, that is) SNP supporter and voter who will now oppose- and campaign against - Independence for Scotland. The last few months have convinced me your Scotland would be a nasty, narrow-minded place to live in. The display of venom and vindictiveness - allowed to go unchecked by the Government - directed towards this Insitution has shown me what an inward-looking, mean-spirited little country we Scots live in. Is this what it would be like in all issues of the day in your separated Scotland? I will now be campaigning actively, with others, to retain union with our more civilised neighbour. Mr. D. Cameron Dear Mr Cameron Thank you for your email. I am well aware of the importance of Rangers to many people in my constituency, from those who work there, to the local businesses who depend on the club trade and, of course, to supporters. I have always said that I want to see Rangers meet its responsibilities and continue in business as a football club and that remains my position. I met with the Rangers Supporters’ Trust following the club going into administration and am willing to do so again at any time. As constituency MSP for Rangers, I stand ready to work with the club and offer any reasonable assistance in exactly the same way that I would with any business in my constituency However, as I am sure you will appreciate, it would be inappropriate for any politician to interfere with any of the matters being dealt with or investigated by either the football authorities or the police. As far as the Scottish Government is concerned, you will be aware that FIFA rules strictly prohibit political interference in the affairs of their members. However, in the interests of many of my constituents, I do hope that these matters are resolved soon. I am grateful to you for getting in touch. Best wishes Nicola
  12. Sgt Willets 3 Para. I salute you
