I believe its not static stretching because they are not holding it longer than 6 seconds (some older players still do static stretching through personal choice and shouldnt be encouraged by the club). And it's Adam Owen the sport scientist that does the warm up so i would doubt that it's not right. During sessions i take (and im certainly not at a high level) we are told that as long as there are sport specific movements, some dynamic stretching and a pulse raiser then that is all that is required. The shooting part i am not sure about. Unless its a warm up for our sub keeper? The injuries can be caused by alot just now as iv seen some of my players injured more regularly. Things such as a harder pitch makes it tougher on the joints etc.
And our players not warming up at half time is, what i've been told, is Walter Smith's choice as he wants to do a full team talk to the squad.
