So sad to hear the news of Davie passing away. I had the great pleasure of meeting Davie for the first time a good few years ago in our local Social Club and since then I always enjoyed his company and enjoyed his banter and knowledge about everything Rangers. I was told last week that he wasn't very well, but this news comes as a real shock. Davie always had a smile on his face and would help you in any way he could. A True Blue and a Gentleman. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. My Deepest Sympathy to Davie's Family. Please take Heart that we are ALL feeling your pain at this sad time. R.I.P Davie Pal.

Sorry Bro. Can't agree with this. Sandy was a True Legend. A True Bear. A Great Ranger and most importantly a great human being. I always thought of sandy as a humble man. I know where your thoughts come from but think that the best way to honour the No2 shirt is not to withdraw it. My feelings are that it should only be worn by someone who deserves to wear it. Someone who is as good as Sandy was and has the same love of our club that he did.. If we were to withdraw every shirt number for great players who have passed away we would have our team running about with 3 digit numbers on their backs. As A Bluenose in my 50's I would like to ask every other Bear ( Older or Younger ) if they can remember a time when We were second Favs to win a Trophy in Scotland when the Great Unwashed were out of the picture. Yes Guys, I know there was a time when the so called new firm of The Sheep And Dundee Hibs Ruled the roost. That was quite a while ago now. As a matter of fact it was just before the greatest and in my opinion the most productive 12 years in our history happened. To Get back to the original question, Has there ever been a time when going in to the last 8 of a competition in Scotland without the Septic ones being involved, have we ever been 2nd Favs and honestly thought why the F--k have they made us 2nd Favs. I M H O We are still a long way off being 2nd Favs. The draw for the next round has been kind to us ( I Think ) Only time will tell. I honestly feel that if we can go on to win this cup it will be one of the greatest moments in our history and will maybe get some doubters off Allys Back. We do not and dont deserve to be where we are at this moment in time. However, we are there and the only way that we can change it it to get out of it as soon as we can. This brings me to my main point. Many media outlets have made the point that they dont feel that Ally is up for the job. He is tactcally unaware and is underachieving. So that now leaves us with the 1 horse race scenario. In the same competition ( The Scottish League Cup ) Super went out with his team of waifs and strays in the same round as the Multi Million Super Celts did. Yet the media in our beloved country seemed to think that The Rangers going out was as big a story as their beloved celtic. A little bit of spin settles the real celtic fans who are livid ( Celtic dont really care about this cup...they have bigger fish to fry ) Aye Rite ! The Clock turns forward and Celtic are given a home tie against a born again Aberdeen. A game that is without any doubt their biggest game of the season out with the Champs League which they are no longer in. They decide that because the demand for tickets to Scotlands greatest Breezeblock stadium is so great that they will shut down the whole top deck of the Glitterdome to try and create A BIT OF ATMOSPHERE. They get stuffed and the night before a rampant Rangers go in to the last 8 of the Scottish Cup ( nice to see that the people in chage of our national game had the foresight to hold the final at a neutral venue. In A Nutshell. This season all that mr lemon can win is his 1 horse race. ( even with all of his millions ) Do any of us know any celtic supporters that could not have done the same as him. Again we hear of all the horrible and terrible things that poor Neil has to put up with in this putrid little country of ours. Is this ringing a bell with anyone out there. Saint Martin O'Neil ringing any bells. Remember Big Eck. He was the guy who was manager of Rangers when Saint Martin was in charge of the septic. Big Eck's record head to head was better than his. However The Big Chap was never made a saint. Has anyone ever wondered why............. Not long returned home from work and got news of the latest BBC story while on my dinner break. Went for a couple of Beers to unwind and catch the latest gossip. The Site has went into Meltdown once again with a BBC SCOTLAND Exclusive about our club. In The Words Of Chewing The Fat .... I Smell Shite. Can I just remind fellow Bears that this is the same BBC SCOTLAND that had Rangers Football Club Guilty of Just about everything they could dream of at the time, with the exception of tampering with kids. In hindsight It is now quite easy to understand why they never included that .But That is another story ( OPEN SECRET ) for another day. The same BBC SCOTLAND that funded a Documentary called Rangers - Selling The Jerseys That went on to win awards after being proven to be...Well, A LOAD OF SHITE. Yes People. The Same BBC SCOTLAND that pays the wages of those well known lovers of Rangers.... Cosgrove, Cowan, Spiers, Spence ( Feel Free To Add ) The same BBC SCOTLAND who are unable, or decide not to report any negative news on their Beloved septic fc. I Hope that this post might start ringing a few Bells with my fellow Bears. Maybe it will stir a few thoughts within us all when if we are honest with ourselves ( Not so long ago ) we all thought that maybe we were guilty of everything that the courts went on to prove we were not. All the things that every Mhedia outlet in this great country of ours had us guilty of doing. Yet were all proven to be wrong. Yes Guys. We all remember it well. That BBC SCOTLAND have actually got a story correct about the team that we love. What is the big deal. Is it a story worthy of News headlines. Or as I suspect ( even if true ) some sort of smokescreen aimed at diverting attention away from what is at this moment in time being investigated by the European commission about the team that can do no wrong. What in your opinion is the bigger deal. What in your opinion is the bigger story. What in your opinion matters most. Why in your opinion do the Mhedia outlets seem to think that this is a bigger story than the Colossal story that could bring down a Political Party in Scotland, A Bank in Scotland and a football club in Scotland. It is a well known tactic my fellow bears. One that they have used for years. I seen through it years ago. Why cant others. After FIFA, UEFA, SFA and all the other governing bodies involved in World Football have stressed that Rangers Football Club is still the same club with their History intact. Why on Saturday night on the road home from work while tuned in to a Radio Station funded by the License paying people in this country ( of which I am One ) BBC Sportsound Radio Scotland Chose to ask their Impartial Guests the Question.......... Rangers Football Club, DIED OR STILL THE SAME CLUB................................. The answer from both was DIED. Quite an interesting answer for a few reasons. 1/ The 2 impartial Guests seem to think that all the Worlds Footballing bodies are wrong. 2/ How could they honestly answer a question about Rangers Football Club if as they say, We no longer exist ( Think about that one ) We then must ask the question, who was it that wanted to put this question to these 2 most knowledgeable men. Did someone phone in OR did somebody within the BBC pose the question. 3/ If someone Phoned in to ask the question...................... And the 2 knowledgeable guests decided to answer it..................Knowing that everything that Rangers Football Club were accused of.........and were FOUND NOT GUILTY OF .....But they still think of us as guilty .............. Does that make them right and the rest of the footballing world wrong, or has Mr Speirs yet again been proved wrong about Rangers Football Club. If it was a phone in question then it was as upsetting to the Rangers supporters as the Question Celtic Football Club , Child Molesters or not would be to a Celtic Fan. Do You Think That Question would ever be asked ( Yet it has been proven to be True ) 4/ This one might be a bit controversial in this country.....................( Brace Yourselves Folks ) For a few years now, the Mhedia in this country has been on a wild goose chase against our club, our fans and everything that we stand for ( work that one out for yourselves ) They had us guilty of everything ( EBT's , Wee Tax Case, Big Tax Case You name it....We were Guilty. By the courts of this great land we were found not guilty of everything. Where did it put us...... Yes, We all know the answer to that one. Right where the Haters of our club wanted us....................Not a bad result for a Club that was found not Guilty. How many Mhedia outlets have said Sorry, We were Wrong. ( ZILCH ) 5/ We now have a scenario where a Certain Football club have been accused of favourable loan deals, a certain political party has been accused of helping them and A Certain Bank has been mentioned as helping to fund both. How much have we read about this.....................NOT A LOT ( Wonder Why ) 6/ We all know about this fellow bears. WE ALL MUST STAND TOGETHER and make sure that this is not another sweep under the carpet job. This is a truth that every reporter in Scotland seems to want to stay clear of. The facts are there to find all parties guilty. Why did they all want to go on a wild goose chase about our innocent club when they have a Scoop in front of their eyes that could end a club forever when found guilty ( sorry guys , I think I just answered my own question there ).......Remember when you were young and you made a Snowball. You put it on the ground and found out if you rolled it, it became bigger. It became so big that you needed the help of others to push it forward make it huge. Can somebody please let me know the difference between Politics and Religion/Sectarian. I would like to think that I am of reasonable upbringing. To know what is right and what is wrong.. Yet again Celtic have been found guilty and been fined by UEFA., 6 Times in 6 Years I think. ( maybe more ) This time £42,000 . ( political ) . Were we ever found guilty of something political. ( or was it religion/ sectarian ) I would be obliged if someone can answer this question. It is something that comes up often in Pub conversations.
