McAusland has been superb and his style of play reminds me so much of a McCann or Huistra. Great addition to our squad.

I think with the amount of defenders we have on the bench a switch at some point might see Tav divert away from his usual position while someone fills in at rb.

They are a quality team and had that been a Champions league group stage match, I would be frustrated at losing the late goal in the manner we did. But overall, I would be happy with a much improved, of late, performance.

So many of our players just now are not taking advantage of starting this match. A few substitutions and this game could change. Brutal!

We played against 10 men for practically 1/5 of this two legged game and couldn't capitalise. Utter shite!

Starting the season on a plastic pitch is truly awful. It's a shambles that this continues to be allowed.

I think that Lundstrum is the type of player that needs dropped to truly kickstart his career with us and remind him of where he is. Not that long ago he was at the tip of all our tongues with regard to his performances. He is no doubt an asset, when he is foccussed, given his versatility and drive but it's mighty sad when all we regularly see is a half hearted version of the player we know he can be.

Many a moon ago, a so called football expert in Chick Young questioned our signing of Laudrup. We fooked up against AEK Athens but then made up for it against Vladikavkas. Just give whoever we sign, a bit of time if they don't hit the ground running.

We have lost out on so many fantastic talents recently that have played in our league (Hickey, Ferguson, Doigde etc.), surely we need to learn from this. I'm thinking back to Neil McCann, Billy Dodds, Claudio Cannigia and Nacho Novo, to name a few, who delivered us titles. Van Veen, Shankland and Nisbet are know doubt a talking point but so too are many others?

More often than not, if we win all four old firm games, we win the league. If we even win three and lost one, there is still a good chance. To win these games we need a solid first team and also a very good selection from the bench. We need to think big this season and buy quality players that won't go in the huff if they find themselves on the bench and are raring to go when they get that opportunity to go on the pitch. We need to remember we are a massive club and to play for us you have to be fit, on form and know that someone can come in at any point in time and replace you.

Is he really the best midfielder at our club though? Jack, lundstum and Kamara have had some outstanding games for us against some quality opposition in recent times. I'm pissed off as much as everyone else but Raskin being put in that midfield ain't the answer. Far too many passengers today.

Their game today did not produce one single card. Can't imagine this has happened in all our encounters in 29 odd years.

I agree with the 'safe' remark. Too often we care for having so many dms in our starting line up, albeit great at keeping possession, so we often forget the attacking brand of football we have historically been associated with. We badly need a gifted central midfielder (ala Pedro Mendes or Barry Ferguson esque) in there.

Alfie type players ain't cheap. Nor is Alfie.

If we were to use, for example a 442 (or variation diamond etc.) our wingers and l/r backs will go beyond and cover for each other. We should have total trust in ourselves that if we have two cms playing, no matter who(in SPL anyway), they will win that midfield battle. Total reshuffle yes, but we can't stick with the same formation as ever.

Never a lone striker and think we could score an awful lot of goals if we pair him with Alfie.

The system we play has relied on Alfie being the main focal point (battering ram, workhorse) striker for too long. Now we are seeing that filling that position is no easy task when he is injured. Colak has had about 6 touches of the ball and hasn't made the keeper make a save in his two competitive matches (disallowed goal noted). You could argue the midfield's creativity has been woeful so far but there is no way, if Alfie had been playing, this would be the case. If we can't find a player suitable for the position, we may have to change the system. Perhaps go back to two up top and have a partnership. What'd you think?

Spending 4 million means hee haw. We still don't know whether Davies is cut out for us or not. My point in question is that Borna my go elsewhere for more than 4 million if you are to believe the media. Imagine the team getting Borna thinking they have won a watch only to see what we see each week. Still pissed off we let Balogun go.

The LCB and striker positions need to be sorted pronto. It is worrying we are depending on strikers coming back off injuries to lead the charge for the title.

Made a big impact and deserves to start next game

I think it would be a mistake to play Davies. Livi would just target him. Soutter was surely brought to us for games like this, where the only real chances they are likely to get are, more often than not, long high balls into the box-his bread and butter. Same starting line up as Tottenham game except I'd change keepers and have Sakala right wing, if Matondo can't make it.
