  11. Just read this on the sportinglife Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act, police said on Monday. A Hertfordshire force spokesman said: "Police were called just after 12.30pm on Sunday following a report that a 42-year-old man had approached a member of the public who was unknown to him, appearing unwell and in an agitated state in Hemel Hempstead. "Officers arrived and accompanied the man to hospital so he could be checked over. "He was sectioned under the Mental Health Act." The troubled former Tottenham, Lazio and Rangers player was previously sectioned under the Act in February. He spent more than a fortnight at Middleton St George Hospital, in Darlington, Co Durham, before being released. At the weekend Anna Gascoigne spoke of her fears that her brother would die if he was not sectioned. In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, she pleaded with fans not to buy the star a drink, saying: "You will have blood on your hands." Her words came amid reports that the footballing great had again been involved in a drunken incident. Gascoigne was seen collapsing in front of travellers at St Pancras railway station on Saturday night, before being taken away in an ambulance. His sister told the newspaper: "I am not saying these words lightly. I want Paul to be sectioned to save his life. That is the last hope. "There is nothing else. I fear every day he'll die." http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/...p;TEAMHD=soccer
  12. This is on the Derby website Derby County are set to sell striker Kenny Miller to Rangers and will take a huge pay cut to go back over the border. Miller is rumoured to earn £30,000 per week with the Rams and would take a drastic cut in his earnings to leave. Rangers are said to have offered £1.75m for Miller and the Rams have accepted this amount. It is not clear if any add on payments for appearances etc have been added. Miller will not be the fans choice of striker for the Gers, many are hostile against the former Celtic player returning to Scotland and Joining them. Walter Smith however thinks that Miller will be able to win the fans over if he produces the form he has shown for Scotland http://www.derbycounty-mad.co.uk/news/load...W&id=393994

Weekend reports suggested that Greening was a summer target for Rangers manager Walter Smith. But Mowbray insists that the former Manchester United and Middlesbrough player will skipper Albion on their return to the Premier League next season. Scroll down for more Skips in: Jonathan Greening is set to retain the captaincy for West Brom next season. Greening, 29, has admitted he would stand aside if Mowbray wanted a new man to captain the team, but the Baggies manager has been quick to put the player’s mind at rest. “Jonathan was given the captaincy last season because he brings just about everything I like in a footballer,†said Mowbray. “I was a captain for most of my career but I also understood the players around me in the team. Jonno shows his leadership qualities with his ability to want the ball and his ability to be brave enough to play for the team.
