Exactly, that's my point, Flanagan was/is pish at RB and he's equally pish at LB. He's only playing at LB now because there's no better option at the moment - that doesn't mean he's good enough to play either position and it certainly doesn't mean he's good enough to replace Tav at RB. If left mid was a problem area for us, would you suggest replacing Jones with Morelos because "after all, Morelos is a better footballer" Admit you fucked it and move on tbh.

I can accept a different opinion when it's backed up with facts and the person at least has a bit of knowledge on the subject that they're discussing. My opinion of you being an idiot is backed up with facts (this thread) and i've used my knowledge on the subject and given you an example of why playing Flanagan at RB instead of Tav is stupid. I don't know why you're getting offended at someone calling you an idiot after posting this thread and some of the posts you've made in it tbh.

I noticed this as well actually and i've already sent a strongly worded e-mail to Google. I'll update the thread if/when they respond.

Flanagan played in his "natural position" against Cowdenbeath and Kilmarnock and was the worst player on the park, so i don't know where you're getting the idea that he's a better defender than Tav from. Tav is on another level to Flanagan in every department and you're an idiot if you can't see that tbh.

We've got a problem at LB, so let's move one of our best players out of position to try and solve it. Even if this did happen (which it won't) we don't have another RB good enough to replace Tav, so we would just be moving the problem from LB over to RB. Harvey Price bastard btw.

Love Defoe tbh, he could still be playing for a lower end premiership/championship club imo. Perfectly weighted pass on a difficult pitch from Helander as well - which is surprising for someone who can't pass tbh.

Gerrard said he wants 2 for every position and it looks Flanagan and Halliday with Barisic out the picture tbh. Hopefully not.

We seen what that would be like when Flanagan played at RB against Cowdenbeath and Kilmarnock last season and it wasn't great tbh. If/when Tav leaves, we'll struggle to find anyone who gives us what he does and it'll be near impossible to do that for the £200k we paid for Tav. Of all the players we have, he always seems to be the one who takes the most criticism on here. He's not allowed to have a bad game or make a bad pass/wrong decision, if he does, it's used as a stick to beat him with for weeks. He was poor against Kilmarnock, but still managed to play a part in both the goals we scored and his run from his own half won us the corner that he crossed in for the winner. But some would rather discuss a poor pass he made in the 14th minute for some reason.

I don't see any calls for banning in that quote. Admin have other ways of dealing with trolls (which he clearly is) and that doesn't necessarily mean banning. A warning or PM telling him to stop trolling would be fine tbh. He repeats the same pish in most threads and has done for years. It was Morelos last season and Dave King before that. None of his claims are ever backed up with facts and are purely about getting attention - he's the very definition of a troll tbh.

Aye he was good, but so was every player that day tbf. If i'm thinking about the same game, the tackle on Ntcham is probably the highlight from his performance that day, which had very little to do with ability and more to do with "he gives 100%" and "has the heart of a lion". Not taking anything away from Halliday tbh, he's a decent squad player, but he's nowhere near good enough to be our first choice LB imo.

Flanagan or Halliday?

I've not seen Halliday or Flanagan put in the type of performance that Barisic did against us - i think that's why people are still hoping he'll come good, because he clearly has the ability. Flanagan is brutal imo and Hallidays biggest attribute is he "gives 100%" or he has "the heart of a lion" he's very rarely complimented on his footballing ability. Up until now, none of them have been anywhere near good enough imo.

Flanagan struggles with the basics of football and makes multiple fuck ups every game. He has no positional awareness, no pace, looks awkward on the ball, terrible passer and offers nothing going forward. That's more than a "brain fart" in our defence.

Only a matter of time before this turns into another negative Tav thread tbh. It usually happens when other players faults are mentioned.

He was brutal tbf. Up there with the worst i've ever seen play for us.
