  11. gpro Staff - 30 Aug 2010 David Moyes is the Paddy Power 7/4 favourite to permanently replace Martin O’Neill There were some incredible market moves as far as Next Aston Villa Manager betting was concerned on Bank Holiday Monday, with a massive gamble on David Moyes leaving Goodison Park for Villa Park. A massive plunge of money saw William Hill shorten the Scot’s odds to 6/1, although Paddy Power were so inundated with bets on Moyes that they make him their 7/4 favourite at the time of writing. It’s unclear as to what has prompted the gamble apart from the fact that Randy Lerner has stated he wants someone with Premier League managerial experience. Perhaps that explains why Mark Hughes has also gone as short as 3/1 with William Hill, although Paddy Power offer 14/1 that the Welshman’s stint at Fulham is cut short and he makes for the Midlands. http://www.bettingpro.com/category/Football/Huge-gamble-on-David-Moyes-to-be-next-Aston-Villa-manager-2010083000269/
