  1. Two main leagues, of 14, 16, 18, whatever. Pyramid system below that. Unite the governing bodies. These are things our game has been lacking for too long. Incentives for playing youths, especially in the lower divisions. We need to look into proper coaching methods, talk to the Dutch, German, Spanish, etc. coaches who're producing quality year in year out. The game needs a massive overhaul. A younger guy in charge who really wants to make a difference to Scottish Football.
  2. His awareness when he gets the ball cannot be taught. He knows where to turn and where to pass it, always a step ahead. If that's him not fully fit, I can't wait to see him with a run of games under his belt. If he has a fully fit season or two, he'll be worth a fortune.
  3. Scary to think he's only a year older than Ally too.
  4. The only run of games with a quality partner he's had since he came here and they were on fire. Hopefully it wasn't his usual spurt, because there's definitely a player in him. As long as we don't put him wide left again... Lafferty Edu McCulloch Davis would be horrible to watch.
  5. McGregor Whittaker Bougherra Goian Wallace Naismith Davis Edu Wylde Fleck Jelavic No way Lee and Papac get dropped though.
  6. Wide right, by some distance. He brings that drive and urgency to our midfield from there, and the link-up between him, Jela and Davis is normally top notch as well. He's hard to pick up from that area too and is a right nuisance for the full-backs. If Ally can't see it, there's something wrong.
  7. Proving time and time again why he was the most important signing of the summer. An absolutely tremendous shot stopper, and one of the few there last night who was trying to inject some urgency.
  8. Had to drift out wide because of a complete lack of service, then created two great chances which Naismith fluffed, feel sorry for him in a way that he's so isolated a lot of the time. Sometimes he does need to be greedier, as much as his link up play is excellent, and on another day, would have scored a couple himself.
  9. We need someone who'll actually run at defenders. Any time someone runs towards any of our players, they just turn away and pass it back. It's pathetic. We've no-one who'll find a pocket of space, turn and run. It actually makes me sad with the quality of players we've had over the years doing such things.
  10. Never really seen him, but a good friend of mine is a massive Saints fan and says he's been a standout for them all season. Their best defender and midfielder at the same time. Seems to be the the player most opposition managers talk about after the games too.
  11. Wouldn't be nearly as effective at us I don't think. Teams press us far more than the likes of Killie so he wouldn't have the time or space to play his passes. Fans would probably get on his back for the lack of work and he'd get frustrated and try to do it all himself. I just don't think that he's the right fit for us, or we're the right fit for him.
  12. I'd play for Rangers for what I earn now. If I was good enough to challenge myself at the very very top of the game then I'd definitely consider leaving, but only on the right terms for the club. You can't beat the feeling of winning at any level of football, so I'd only go to a Barca, Man U type team where I'm guaranteed to be able to challenge for as many trophies as I would be at Ibrox.
  13. Think we'll get Bartley on loan, and we should be looking for a more experienced (28-30 year old) centre half to provide competition between them two and Bougherra. We should be looking more for youngsters/bosmans at full back, as we have good experience and decent quality there, short-term at least. We could do with a Weiss type player on loan, then maybe Conway on a bosman and that'd give us 4 (5 if you want to include Davis) options in the wide positions. Another option up front to provide competition for Lafferty to partner Jelavic. (Lafferty should not be played out wide again, as it's painfully obvious that with a run of games, he's at worst a good striker in this league.)
  14. I wanted Davies when we went with Smith again. He's got an eye for a player, gets a good team mentality, and Forest are very hard to beat, especially at home. Still totally unsure on McCoist as manager, but he will have my full backing.
  15. He'll never learn. How us fans can see the problems but Smith can't is worrying.
