  1. A good win in what could have been a tricky game. Most of the players performed well although Bougherra and Weir looked a bit suspect at times. Jamie Ness continues to impress. Still not happy with McCulloch playing in the middle though. He offers little protection to the back 4 and is caught out of position too often.
  2. With Jelavic out injured, this was supposed to be the time where he should have been in the first team, gaining confidence and scoring goals. He needs to get fit soon or when Jelavic comes back, he will be stuck on the bench.
  3. I'd go with that team but maybe put in Wylde instead of Lafferty. We don't need to make much changes after the performance today. Is Edu fit for this game? Hopefully he doesn't come straight back in and plays with McCulloch in the middle.
  4. Good news. I think it's more important to keep him than Miller.
  5. I'd be disappointed if we spent that amount of money on this guy. There is far better out there. Anyway, he'd be one of those players who doesn't fit into a 4-4-2 formation, his best position is just off the striker(s). Walter doesn't know how to use these players properly so would just put him on the wing.
  6. It's not really the formation that bothers me, it's the way we approach games. I'd go with the 4-5-1/4-3-3 though just because I think it's better for hitting teams on the break.
  7. He's 18 and I thought Crocker said he'd spent most of his career at centre back. I may be wrong though. Did well overall and hopefully this game gives him confidence.
  8. I don't think anyone played bad tonight but the tactics were all wrong. I can understand defending against teams that are better than us when there is something to lose but Bursaspor were poor. They should have been the ones playing with caution. Walter's last Champions League game and he blew it.
  9. I'd really enjoy watching him beg to come back and saying how we are the only team for him, only for Walter to tell him to get lost.
  10. :mcgregor: :weir: :broadfoot: :papac: :davis: :hutton: :weiss: :fleck: :miller: Hopefully Beattie gets some game time as well.
  11. I was very impressed with him last night, he didn't look out of place one bit, unlike others. In saying that, I'd be very surprised if he replaces either McCulloch or Edu from the team.
  12. I would go with that, although I will be very surprised if this is the team.
  13. Yes. He would play every weekend and be dropped in midweek. Do you think Miller would have been dropped?
  14. Probably not. No chance we would have went with 2 up front. He would have been the token sub with 5 to go.
  15. Sorry, I forgot. Kenny Miller is above criticism.
  16. I don't need to. When things don't go his way he just has a go at another player. It's always someone else's fault.
